Contest #2—Winner Announcement For a Free Ticket to SteemFest 2017 at Lisbon!
Contest #2 saw many interesting entries and it was a difficult choice to make when it came to selecting a winner. After much consideration I have managed to select one winner for Contest #2. I've spent a lot of time going over every entry and have arrived at this decision after a lot of thought! The goal was also to get someone who hasn't experienced this event before.
So, without further ado

He seems to be an enterprising new member of the platform and seems to be doing some interesting work. You can read his nomination and his entry post in the comments of my contest post here! His work seems to well detailed and appreciated by the community and I feel he can contribute more to the platform from participating at SteemFest 2017

Other notable entries that caught my attention were from @lifemovedbysteem, @virtualgrowth, @elear, @martibis and @gabchik's nominee @rossenpavlov. There were also other interesting entries and this is where I wish I could sponsor many more people to SteemFest.
That being said, I am contemplating hosting another contest and I will make an update about the same if I decide to go ahead with it. Currently I'm figuring out my own costs for my upcoming travels. So kindly stay tuned as I figure this out.
Irrespective of that, I look forward to meeting all of you who finally make it to SteemFest 2017 at Lisbon.

This is such an amazing opportunity, and it's almost hard to believe that this is real. My life was very different only a few short months ago, before I joined Steemit. I will forever be grateful for the opportunities afforded here and the relationships I am developing. This is such a great platform that proves the Co-Operative Living Mindset, which I have believed in for so long, but can be hard to create in the "real" world.

I'm actually already getting a fair bit of support from the community, not quite enough to make it into Steemfest, but enough to support the hithchhiking to Lisbon and back I reckon!!!
Yes well all it takes is a couple popular posts and your ticket is covered. That was a big part of my intent with the contest was not only to fund a FREE ticket for someone but also get exposure for others who could use it. I am sure you got a lot more followers and votes since the ticket give away contests and that alone will help.

I mean it's not that easy for me to get popular posts, I'm still a tiny minnow floating around the pond, haha!
But the exposure has definitely been helping, thanks a lot for that! It seems more and more people are jumping aboard the Steemit Worldmap too, so that's a very cool thing to see!
