my name is Karen Gonzalez . I’m a new member here. Maybe I will need a lot of time to get used to here. So I will need some help from you all.

First of all I want to thank you all for the warm reception I received. a friend told me about this platform I just didn't believe it. Then he showed me the reception he got for a post. 

He explained that this platform would be excellent for our education and outreach efforts. So I will be blogging regularly, you may see the same content in different languages, mostly English & Spanish, I invite you to read it anyways because learning a new language is good for the mind.

The funds raised from each post will be used for a good cause, but to understand our cause, you need to understand where it comes from.

I studied medicine in the Faculty of Medicine and Psychology of the UABC. This is where my passion for using technology in medicine began. After finishing my residency, I embarked on a journey to get the right medical information to the people.

My life's work has been to provide easy to understand medical information so that everybody can have a solid understanding of how this magical machine we call the human body actually works.

I do this so that everyone is be able to make right decisions about their health.

From here on out you will see an eclectic mix of topics.

My goal with this blog is to demystify medicine and make approachable even to laymen.

If you learn a new thing every day, I'll consider it mission accomplished.

If even a single life is made better by this, I will consider it a gift from God. About the only thing I cannot do here is offer specific medical advice online. If you need immediate medical attention I urge you to seek competent, qualified practitioners in your local area.

We treat you like family, because when it comes down to it, all of us are.

Mi nombre es Karen Gonzalez. Soy un nuevo miembro aquí. Tal vez necesitaré mucho tiempo para acostumbrarme a esto. Así que necesitaré una ayuda de todos ustedes.

Explicó que esta plataforma sería excelente para nuestros esfuerzos de educación y divulgación. Estudié medicina en la Facultad de Medicina y Psicología de la UABC. Aquí es donde comenzó mi pasión por usar la tecnología en medicina. Después de terminar mi residencia, me embarqué en un viaje para obtener la información médica adecuada para la gente.

El trabajo de mi vida ha sido proporcionar información médica fácil de entender para que todos puedan tener una sólida comprensión de cómo esta máquina mágica que llamamos el cuerpo humano realmente funciona.

Hago esto para que todos puedan tomar decisiones correctas sobre su salud. Desde aquí, verá una mezcla ecléctica de temas. Mi objetivo con este blog es desmitificar la medicina y hacerla accesible incluso a los laicos.

Si aprendes algo nuevo cada día, lo considero una misión cumplida. Si incluso una vida es hecha mejor por esto, la consideraré un regalo de dios. Sobre lo único que no puedo hacer aquí es ofrecer un consejo médico específico en línea. Si necesita atención médica inmediata, le pido que busque profesionales competentes y calificados en su área local.
