Venus Opposing Saturn
Venus opposing Saturn can be a difficult, lonely time when you feel estranged from the people you love and minimized by them, too, despite what you feel and how you try to show them love and attract their attention.
They may be disinterested, remote and unavailable ... possibly because of responsibilities they have to deal with. But they give off signals that suggest (strongly) that you are less important to them than these obligations and people (other than you) they want to impress. Even if you reach out deliberately, the connection you make isn't satisfying or complete.
Relationships can feel more like "business arrangements" -- as professional obligations and public life interests overshadow the romantic side of life leaving you (and maybe your partner as well) feeling neglected and left out of each other's lives.
This can be unintentional -- life sometimes is overwhelming and schedules get packed. But it can also show a crisis when one or the other of you is privately asking, "Is this what I signed up for?" The answer may not be comforting.
It can be a time when you feel the absence of a partner who is long gone, "never around any more" or even deceased. Something serious, cold and inflexible blocks the sentiment you feel (and want to share), the tenderness you'd like to receive from others and undermines your self-esteem by raising questions about your significance and value in the connections you have with your partners and friends.
It can also be a time when money issues and other aggravations are so much a part of the scenery even fun and enjoyment are hard to find, let alone anything as profound as commitment and love. Fortunately it passes quickly, but it sure can be sad and depressing while it lasts. Hang in there.
This is the last of this year's miserable (and I do mean miserable!!) Cancer transits -- although Mercury Retrograde is backing up for a few more days close enough to remind us this is huge, forbidding Capricorn energy from the Saturn / Pluto alliance is still there!!
Mercury turns direct on July 31. Mars -- now in Leo (YAY!!!) picks up the benevolent (and lucky!) trine from Jupiter in Sagittarius on July 24. It gets better from here.
