Bitcoin Price Predicted Rp896 Million
THE growth of Bitcoin's "mining" activity can make the price of this digital currency reach US $ 64,000 or equivalent to Rp896 million. This is a prediction of research and investment firm Fundstrat, Thursday (10/05/2018).
Bitcoin is created through an energy-intensive process known as mining, where computers receive cryptocurrency in return for solving complex mathematical equations. Fundstrat estimates this activity will grow 350% until 2019.
"We believe that the current growth path supports the BTC price of approximately US $ 36,000 by the end of 2019, with a range of US $ 20,000 - US $ 64,000," Sam Doctor, head of research at Fundstrat, said in a report as quoted by CNBC International.
Sam Doctor added that Bitcoin miners tend to hold Bitcoin because now the price is falling to a breakeven point equivalent to operating costs, and sells when the price rises, to pursue to greater profits.
