The secret of the Pantheon revealed
Good old Pantheon... It did bring some great creativity out of some of you. We heard it was to store the bodies, that it hid the secret list of names, has stashes of Future tokens, and even how it was a place where gangs meet. 12 days ago, we held a contest and in it, we promised a prize of 500 Future tokens to a person who would write the best post about the Pantheon building and what it does. The answer, of course, needed to be correct and the post had to have some quality.
The funny (and kind of sad on the other hand) part is that the most interesting posts, those composed in the best way, funny or with a great sense of style and format... They had the wrong answer. It took us a couple of days to go over all of your posts and the numbers are in:
- 11 posts entered the contest
- 4 posts had the correct answer

So... In the description of buildings, as a unique thing it does, the Pantheon has words "Apparently nothing" written. For those who are not experts in the English language, here is one of the definitions of the word "apparently":
"used to say you have read or been told something although you are not certain it is true"

The Pantheon DOES have a purpose and it had it long before the contest had started. It is awarding you for your shared battles. When you share your battle on steemit in a post form, you get upvoted. You already knew that part, didn't you? What most of you did not know is that the Pantheon is what makes the upvote on your posts bigger, that is its mystery. It increases the vote value. A person with a Pantheon level 20 will definitely receive a bigger upvote than a person with a Pantheon level that is smaller than that.

Revealing your battles!
So, how to use this as an advantage? Is it possible to find any advantage in disclosure of your army? Yes it might be that you don’t send all your troops, but do you really want the other players see how strong or weak you are compared with themselves.
I have done some fight sharing and been getting great upvotes! Thanks a lot for that. But giving this some extra consideration I don’t want the whole community to be able to see how strong or weak I am.
For those who send in a spy and revealing opponents strengths, yes that can give us value and weaken thos you spy on.
Is there any advantage in this. Of course yes.
So use it as it fits you.
Could it have a better solution and hidden gem. I think so. The developers can give this some more thoughts and thinking more outside the box.

so if I understand this right...when daily prizes will go to 0, we will be able to get steem only by sharing posts?
There were not four people who had the correct answer. There were five. I was the first one to point out the correct answer. Mine was just not shared because they didn't like my opinion. Probably because I used the word spam for sharing battles. Drop me a quick comment and let me know what you all think.

I don’t like the purpose. Should make it a safe house for certain amount of units depending on level of building. I do not share my battles and lots do not so that serves no purpose to us.
It would be cool if based on your level of your building the strongest units you have survive a lost battle so peoples armies don’t get completely crushed. A level 10 Pantheon would save the lives of 10 mercenaries for example or something of that sort.

I agree with you completely. They also did not reveal everyone with the correct answer. I had the correct answer as soon as they announced the contest. They said there was only for people who had the correct answer. They were trying to cover mine up.

eehh but I don't want to share a stupid battle picture it would really undermine the writing I do on here. Count me out of ever upgrading that thing again.
yeah i set it up wrong. should have put $ i spent on drugwars in an alt account.
You could do it now, but because of the ponzi nature of the game, you would take 6 months to get back 5 Steem. It's not worth it TBH. You had to get in early and upgrade everything with Steem, then pump everything back into the heist to break even.
I still have 9 days to go to break even. I hope the daily rewards are still paying until then.

They said the daily heist bank for Steem rewards is being phased out. I don't understand why they can favor Future over Steem since it's worth less than a penny per token outside of the game. My guess is that they are trying to remove the image of an "investment" from their game.

I think a lot of people feel the same way as you. I actually had the correct answer from the very beginning. I made a blog post about it and entered the contest. Obviously mine was not mentioned because I didn't like what it was for but I was correct. They said only four people had the correct answer. Obviously the results were biased. They only mentioned the people who spoke highly of the use of the pantheon. Here is my entry that was attempted to be hidden.

Exactly. I actually made an entry to the contest explaining just that. I was 100% correct about the use of the pantheon. They just didn't mention mine as being correct because they didn't like my view. They attempted to cover it up. Not really working when there's a comment section here.

I am here with a level 17 Pantheon, i have shared 4 different battles in today and none of them get any upvote. So the Pantheon loosing it is meaning ...

This is really bad for steem. More spam content is the last thing we need. Now you are effectivly incentivising spam which is a serious middle finger up to the decent content creators on steem who already have a diminishing levels of engagement and incentive to publish here.
Sorry drugwars but you have turned out to be exactly what i predicted about a month ago. I've made more than my initial investment back so I'm really not moaning about that, but now you're helping to flush the overall quality of content on steem down the shiter with this type of behaviour, that I will complain about.
I really don't understand how the person who coded/developed fundition, one of the most positive and altruistic initiatives I've seen on steem, can create this shit show. Was it just a case of I wanna get mine now?
Hope you enjoy your $$$$$ grab. Just like bidbots, yet another example of people with large SP and influence on steem fcking the whole thing up for they're own profit. Bleeding as much as they can from everyone's investment of money/time.
