Weekly CRICKET Review - XLVI | New Dawn for West Indies

So, how is the World of Cricket treating you? You already know that I am sharing a weekly wrap-up of what is happening within the Cricket community. So, it's the 46th edition now!!

As I said last week, Decent Cricket, there are a few exciting international series going on along with the BBL. So, let's dig in!

India tour of South Africa

• It's a full series including, 3 T20Is, 3 ODI s, and 2 Tests. As I said in the last week, the T20 series is finished as 1-1. Then the ODI series was won by India 2-1. It was a series where young talents like Sanju, Arshadeep, Avesh Khan, Sai Sudarshan, Tony de Zorzi, Burger, etc stepped up.

• Well the first match was sloppy from the host. Just like they got hammered in WC, SA couldn't resist rather new balling attack of India. Arshadeep and Avesh destroyed the batting lineup, taking 9 wickets together restricting SA for just 117 runs inside 28 overs. It was never a threatening total and India chased it within 16 overs. The debutant Sai Sudarsan made a fifty.

• SA came back strongly in the next one. With a comprehensive balling effort led by Nandre Burger (3/30) and Beuran Hendricks (2/34), they restricted India to 211. The first powerplay was the test for SA openers with the seam, and swing which they survived. Then it was a clinical chase by 8 wickets from them with a half-ton from Reeza and a maiden century from Tony de Zorzi.

• Batting first in the decider, India didn't get a good start. On a tricky surface, they were 132/3 after 30 overs at one point. But Sanju, Thilak and Rinkhu accelerated and carried the innings to 296/8. I was waited for the success of Samson, and he registered his first international hundred. Eventhough host got a good start, they couldn't carried away, all out for 218 runs. Arshadeep once again took 4 wickets becoming the MoS.

England tour of West Indies

• As I said last week, West Indies won the ODI series comprehensively 2-1. And in the 5-match T20 series, WI won the first two and then a comeback from the England.

• The fourth one was a firecracker. We could see the beast mode from British. Salt and Butler were assaulting ballers hitting boundaries at their will. When Butler departs for 55 off 29 after 9.5 overs, they were 117 runs. Salt held from one end yet again scoring a hundred, and cameos from Jacks and Livingstone helped them to score 267/3. Eventhough WI tried their best to chase it, they couldn't carry it deep. They were all out for 192 in 15 overs.

• The decider was set by the WI ballers. They managed to restrict England for just 132 runs. It was not easy for WI also to chase down with few wickets, but eventually could do in the last over. So, WI won the T20 series, announcing their signals for the upcoming T20 WC.

Bangladesh tour of New Zealand

• Bangladesh went to NZ for 3 ODI and 3 T20 series. NZ won the first two matches comprehensively. 169 runs from Soumya Sarkar in the second match was something special, but still NZ managed to chase down the target.

• Anyway, third one was something special from Ban ballers. Actually they were on fire restricting the host for just 98 runs. Shoriful Islam, Tanzim Hasan Sakib and Saumya Sarkar took 3 wickets per each. Then it was an easy chase, doing it in 15 overs winning by 9 wickets.
