#mountainmonday - The Mountain Monday Tag History

Mountain Monday Tag Continues
After some scrolling and tag hunting I found the post that seems to have started mountainmonday:
https://steemit.com/photofeed/@shadalene/introducing-the-nature-photo-contest from 2-25-2018
It was part of a nature photo contest that @shadalene had just started, and Mondays subject matter was Mountains. Her account has been inactive since 4-25-2018.
The first post I found using the tag #mountainmonday was:
https://steemit.com/cityscapephotography/@scottshots/tahoe-city-from-a-sea-plane-with-the-door-removed on 3-5-2018.
It was the third tag in his tag line, and it was @scottshots post I learned about @shadalene and her contest from last year.
4-16-2018 was the last use of #mountainmonday tag by @janine-ariane photo entry(https://steemit.com/mountainmonday/@janine-ariane/driving-in-to-the-mountains) into the naturephotocontest.
On 10-15-2018 @keithboone revived the tag #mountainmonday, it had fallen in disuse over the summer.
12-3-2018 was when I first used the tag https://steemit.com/mountainmonday/@bashadow/a-mountainmonday-panoramic-test-edit, at least I think that was my first use of the tag.
Keith is moving on, and I have decided to try to keep the tag alive for the near see-able future. I do not own the tag, I am simply trying to keep it alive and running. I will try to resteem the #mountainmonday tagged post, I will try to vote on them all, and I will try to leave a comment. Please remember that I live in Alaska, so I am at the end of Monday when most of you are starting Tuesday, so I will try to put my post out on Sundays. No guarantees there.
Feel free to drop your link in the comments, it may or may not add to the visibility of your post. If the first picture in your post is not a mountain, I may not resteem it. If your post is about the mountain, I will vote on it however, and likely comment.
Redoubt Volcano from the Kenai Wetland viewing platform. Compared to the shot above, not a lot of blue in the sky, and kind of hazy looking. Weather is there whether we like it or not. Not everyday is going to be a crisp blue bang the mountain out view. Still with the sun angle, the slight over cast and the lighting on the mountain, I found this one to be rather interesting. I see this mountain a lot. I have lots of pictures of this mountain. This I think is the first picture I have in which I see the mountain face. All mountains have faces, some are just hidden real well, or only view-able in the right conditions or on the right day at the right time. I was there in the right spot at the right time to capture his face.
I do hope people will continue to use the tag, and a big thank you for the creator, previous place holder, and of course to all of you that have ever shared your Mountain Pictures and stories with those of us that like Mountains.
The separation bar was a quick make by me feel free to use it if you want.
I'm glad to see you taking this over! Love your mountains, here's an entry from me...

Thank you, it will always be here when you if you would want to take management back. I just hope I can keep it going for little while at least.
Thanks for continuing the #mountainmonday tag, @bashadow.

Most welcome @bashadow. 😊
Beautiful view of the cloud
Thank you.
Thanks so much for hosting this tag! Here is mine. https://steemit.com/mountainmonday/@melinda010100/mountain-monday
Thank you, on my way to go look.
Thanks for the cool recent history lesson! One of the best tags here!
I do enjoy seeing these mountain shots. That ridge road, not the main one in your photo from down in New Zealand looks it would be a fun one to drive.
Thanks @bashadow! It is a really cool road... fun to drive, walk, or bike across. Cheers!
Awesome White mountain with blue sky and sea photography.
Hi @bashadow
I just love the way you have given equal credit to the source of your wonderful mountain images to mother nature and your camera. They make a great combination. All the best with continuing the Mountain Monday tag. There are very few mountains in the area I live which makes viewing everyone else's photos all the more enjoyable.
Alaska is certainly the mother of all beautiful mountains what a great view :)
