A mountainmonday panoramic test edit
Above the road a Pano view
I am still in the learning process of my camera, and of a couple of different photo editing programs, and I thought this would be a good place to show some of that process. First the picture:
It is kind of long, and kind of short, it is a panoramic stitched photo from four different snaps. This is the small mountain just across the road from above the Tern Lake pullout. I am not sure what the name of the mountain is or if it really even has a name.
I used one program Paint.net to first resize all the pictures down to 800X533. Last time I did a pano it took a long time for the program to process the two images, so resized before hand this time. After that I opened Photo Pad image editor, and chose the pano option. Snagged and dropped the four pictures, put them in the right order and bing-a-bang clicked the process button and less than a minute later my four pictures were stitched together. I used the crop function to get rid of some but not all the black space, then saved the image. I went back to paint.net opened the image did the final get rid of the black space crop, a small resize and it was done.
I am pretty happy with the way the image came out. I need to start using my tripod more and trying to get wider pictures. So far I am enjoying the programs in my learning process and may look into more complete programs one day. It would be nice to not only add pictures left and right but also above and below.

Wow, that's great! Thanks for explaining your process. I'm not familiar with the software you used but I can see that the result is first rate. The main thing I notice is that I don't see seems or lines where the images have been joined - this is a problem I often have.
Thanks for entering Mountain Monday! Keep shooting and posting! U+R
Thank you, it is only my third try at the program, I learn a bit each time, just one of those free trial ones, works good so far, a bit slow especially when you do not resize before processing.
That is a fantastic edit! Thanks for explaining your process. It is a beautiful mountain photo!
You produced a lovely photo. Thanks for explaining the process.
Thank you @redheadpei. Steemit is doing some cost cutting savings so here is the link to the big picture if it does not open slightly bigger for you. It's not a lot bigger but some.
