Thanks, Pix!
A beautiful mountain with the point, Melinda. 11 miles of tunnel under the mountain does sound exciting and scary.

Thank you!
Now that is a mountain. Great shot of the needle Mel.
This part of France is the one place I haven't been to...yet 😂
I did go through the Lot region of the Pyrenees which was pretty amazing.
I love road trips through France!I added it up once and all together I've spent almost 6 months of holiday time touring France.
I must be in about the same ball park in terms of holiday time spent in France. I also worked in Paris for a few months back in the 90's. It's a fabulous country.
It may be the food that I miss most!
So beautifull. I like it.
It is one of the many amazing places on earth!
Absolutely beautiful shot of the Needle. I can't remember the last time I went through a tunnel. We have one in Alaska close to where I live, but they have so many minor cave ins and other issue that I am not sure I want to drive through it. We may try it this year, not sure.
This is a beautiful landscape
Isn't it magnificent? I didn't realize how claustrophobic I am until I went into that tunnel under the mountain. I had to close my eyes and imagine that I was outdoors in the sunshine or I would have started screaming I think! Good thing I wasn't the driver, right?
That seems familiar to me. I happened something similar on a slide, it was horrible
It was the first time I understood what a panic attack was. Now I can hardly stand to go though any tunnels, even short ones!
I do not like tunnels, panic attacks are horrible
Nice mountain photography.
Wow its nice to see a big mountain once in a while. Illinois is even flatter than wisconsin. What is the hilly rocky area in wisconsin? I forgot the name...

The Driftless Area? Is that what you were thinking of?
Yeah that area, i might try and go this fall. Though it seems really rural out there, probably have to reserve a campground somewhere.

Campgrounds and state parks are plentiful and I've found some great B&Bs over that way, too.
