Enjoying the exciting moments at the beach

Greetings from here. I'm excited to participate in season 17 week 6 engagement challenge with the theme: "Tourism in my country". I want to use this medium to welcome you all to the vibrant land of my dear country Nigeria🇳🇬. A country where the warmth of our hospitality meets the riches of our culture.

My country is a treasure trove of natural wonders, so join me as i unveil our popular tourist spot. I'm sure you'll fall in love with diversity, beauty and the warmth of Nigeria.

Share two popular tourist spots in your country and the reason why they are so popular?

The two popular tourist spot in my country are Ibeno beach and National Museum. Ibeno beach is located in Akwa Ibom State, Google map location in Nigeria, and is so popular that most of my friends prefer visiting there during their family tour. Ibeno beach is the biggest sand beach in West Africa stretching for about 30 kilometres from Ibeno to Jamestown along the Atlantic coastline of Akwa Ibom State. You need to visit this place and see the beautiful coastline of it. People love beautiful environment, so the beautiful settings contribute to its popularity.

My uncle at Ibeno beach after his NYSC

I once visited this place with my family when i was 12, ever since then, time and work doesn't permit such tour again. I'm missing those recreational moment with my family. After my uncle finished his NYSC, he went to our family tourist spot (Ibeno beach) to have some fun with friends and relax his mind after many years of academic stress.

My uncle at National Museum during his second vacation

National museum is the secondth most popular tourist spot in Nigeria and it is located in Calabar city. Google map location. The Nigerian national museum features a collection of Nigerian arts and artifacts from various cultures and ethnic groups. In this museum, we have different sculptures and statue which represents and define fashion, business, warriors and life struggle. Looking at the photo above, the statue by the right represent life struggle.

Do foreign tourists visit these spots? What special facilities are there for them?

Yes, foreign tourists do visit these spots. The beautiful environment and the cultural art displayed is what inspired them to come around. My uncle who visited the Ibeno beach after his NYSC met some foreign tourists and he asked them what they love about the beach and what motivated them to travel that far down there. They said that the beach parties, Nigerian traditional dance, paddleboarding and spa treatments pushed them to visit Ibeno beach in Nigeria.

At the boat side

One of the special facilities we can offer to the foreign tourists is a boat. They can enjoy themselves by engaging in a water sport game and other activities such as boat tours. In Ibeno beach, we have luxury resorts and hotels where the foreign tourists can lounge during their tour. Some of the luxury resorts and hotels are KoKo beach resorts, Ibeno beach resorts, fine dining and lots more.

The best part of these facilities preserved for foreign tourists in my country is that, they're affordable and at the same time comfortable. How great is that😀.

What kind of improvement do you think is needed to increase the visibility of foreign tourists there?
  • By implementating or exhibiting a good interaction and engagement display at the museum. Having a professional and experienced communicator will enhance the foreigners experience and making them enjoy their tour as well.

  • Introducing a new water sports at Ibeno beach will increase the visibility of foreign tourists. We have different types of tourists and one of them are the adventure seeking tourist. With the new development and improvement in water sports, it'll attract them to visit the place for their adventure.

  • They're foreign tourists, so they'll expect to see something new and creative during their tour. At the beach, amenities like the rest room and shower should be of high standard. We now have the cool and hot options in our home shower, so i think installing such showers at the beach will increase the visibility of foreign tourists.

Do you know any spot that is not yet known to everyone but has the potential to become a popular tourist destination in the future?

Yes, they're outnumbered. One of the spot it Senator Godswill Akpabio's playground, also known as Christmas village or unity park Google location map. It's a very big field that most footballers, gymers and other athletes do visit every day for their aerobic exercises and weight lifting. There's a secondary school not too far from the field, i was schooling there. After school hours, i do visit the playground with my friends to swing, run and play football.

It has the potential to become a popular tourist destination in the future because of its capacity. Here in this playground, we have so many buildings used for various activities, but even with this, there's enough space to build more than 1,000 apartment. During festive season, people in my country do celebrate it there, and traders do construct their kiosk to sale snacks, food and any edible consumptions.

The traders kiosk stand is always more than 200 with enough space for another 10,000 kiosk. With this large space and its popularity, i believe it'll be a better spot for tourists in the nearest future.

I'm inviting my friends to join this challenge @goodybest @kouba01 and @josepha.

You really have a good tourist center over there, I like both places especially the museum park, I would like to visit there one day because I like history and fact. You did a great research, your idea for improving foreign tourist visibility are unique at least, if such ideas are implemented there will be a positive improvement, also i can't waiting to see when Governor Godswill Akpabio playground and Christmas village or unity park will turn into a tourist center soon.

Seriously man, especially that unity park, it's such a large field which i think it has the potential of becoming our future tourist spot. To make that place more attractive, they should build some tent using white material, then a small pool for cool breath, just a suggestion. But anyways, I'm pretty sure it'll turn to a big tourist spot soon. I really appreciate your contribution to my post, it adds value to it. Thank you.

Gettings dear friend.
I saw some views of your country in the direction of tourist centers in your post. Nigerian and West African beaches are so beautiful that the sea is truly incomparable to look at. And you have explained beautifully from your experience and what to do and what there is for a foreigner to go there You have pointed out the to-do's nicely. If I ever get a chance to go there in the future, some of the pointers in your post will be useful for me. Good luck to you.

Thank you sir for taking your time to read my post and adding value to my post through comments. Nigeria indeed is a great Country with beautiful places that can tril foreigners. You're talking about visiti5my country in the future if possible. Amongst this places mentioned in my post, which one would you like to visit? Is it the beach or the museum?

Two wonderful places in your country such as Ibeno beach and the National Museum, this beach that is well known by everyone and the largest in Western Asia that is seen by friends, a place that has a beautiful coastline, a place that He visited when he was 12 years old with his family and because of so many responsibilities today he couldn't go but his uncle recently enjoyed this beach.

The National Museum, a museum where everyone can enjoy the different statues found there as well as Nigerian art and artifacts from various cultures and ethnic groups.

Interaction in the museum to learn about the history of each object found there and doing some water sports on the beach would be a very good improvement.

Saludos 👍🇻🇪

Greetings @wilmer1988

I'm happy to see your comments under my post. Nigeria is a great country and giant of Africa at that. Ibeno beach is not too far from where i reside when i was 12 years old, but since we relocated, work and time has deprived me of that please and recreational activities. It seems i haven't seen your entry. I'm hoping to read about your country. Thank you for your contribution and adding value to my post.

You are most welcome dear . Definitely I would love to ❤. Thanks a lot for this initiative..... and you are always welcome ❤

To be sincere, ibeno beach is a wonderful place to be, though I haven't been there but most of my friends who have been to ibeno beach have so many good things to say about the place. I would love to visit ibeno someday maybe after my service year too,to cool of the academic stress as well. Best of luck dear.

Thank you sir for visiting my post and dropping this valuable comment. I would recommend you to visit that ibeno beach probably with your friends or family to experience a good life there. Do you know one thing i like about that place? Those coconut planted there are so watery and perfect for this present climate. We can go there together when you're done with your service.

That will be nice though.

It's fantastic to hear about the allure of Ibeno beach as a premier tourist destination in Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. With its expansive coastline and stunning natural beauty, it's no wonder it's a favorite among locals and tourists alike. The 30-kilometer stretch offers a picturesque setting for family outings and leisurely strolls along the Atlantic coastline. Such natural wonders not only provide opportunities for relaxation but also foster a deeper appreciation for the environment and its beauty.

Thank you for your contribution dear. I really appreciate. Do well to visit this place one day when you're financially stable, and i promise you, you'll enjoy this place to it fullest. I know very well you're a Nigerian, and I'll be going to ibeno beach by the end of the month. Would you mind joining me there?

Thank you so much for your kind words! Your invitation to Ibeno Beach sounds wonderful. I truly appreciate your thoughtfulness and generosity. While I may not be able to join you this time, I'll certainly keep it in mind for the future. Have an amazing time, and enjoy every moment of your trip!

Okay, let's look ahead of the future

Wow, reading this post almost made me feel that I am in these sites, though I have been to ibeno beach before and we played some games like basketball and volley ball, and we also found a little crab which was very cute. But I will still love to go and visit the area of the sculptures, by the way it was very fun reading this post and I would love to see another quality post like this again, once again thanks for this entry.

Thank you mummy, I'm really happy to see this kind of valuable comment on my post. Ibeno beach indeed is a nice place to visit probably with family for leisure activities and recreational moments. I can't remember the last time i went there as i was small. Wow, crab? During my visit there, I searched all over the sand beach if i could find one, but i didn't, maybe I didn't go at the right time. I really appreciate your visit, I'll keep on writing quality post as said.
