Those of you who have followed my investigative projects over the years know that I have been covering very distasteful topics. I try to cover such topics because there is a gaping hole where there should be information, critique and concern on the same topics. One of these topics is epitomised by a young boy who has been turned into a subject of much conjecture over the years. He is a caricature of childhood now, whatever about childhood was considered precious is so debased today that it warps my psyche into a volcanic wrath so intense that I start to fear myself.
A childhood despoiled is Desmond is Amazing's destiny.
PINK DOLLARS BRING BIG BRAND ANTI-BIGOTRY BALLAST
So Desmond Napoles (AKA #DesmondIsAmazing) was in the mainstream news again. He was recently endorsed to promote the new rainbow pink dollar moneygrabbing Converse Chuck Taylor Allstar shoes on mainstream social media under such hashtags as #conversepride #inmyconverse #converse #chucktaylor #chucks #instakicks #conversestyle #pride #livecolorfully #peoplesportrait #acceptance #acolorstory #youdecidewhoyouare #igboston #bostonlife #shopboston #bostonusa #dotnews #caughtindot #DiscoverDistrictAve #WeAreEDENS.
Looks like it will be quite a successful campaign. The allegedly much maligned LGTBPAQ community who identify so proudly as a sexual proclivity, fetish or kink are always on the lookout for mainstream endorsement to slot them into greater society. And major brands are always keen for more pink dollars.
Global tabloids and viral online media had a field day over this. Outrage and protest filled shitty social media airwaves with noisy views from detractors and supporters. It got views, it got many clicks and for some who are quite new to supporting #DesmondisAmazing publicly, it got kicks too (more on that soon).
I had heard it all before; all the bemoaning of victimisation, of freedom of expression & standing up to "haters" so this latest rainbow rage bore little impression on me. For over a decade now I have detested the trend of sexuality being some kind of symbol of emancipation from societal oppression or a Cause célèbre for the neglected amongst us. It rings so false on its own premise that eventually such a sexuality-centric movement will just stagnate of it's own accord, i hope.
On the other side of the argument I heard more of the same I have sadly heard before; yes it's exploitation, yes Desmond modelling rainbow converse shoes is not pride or strength and yes it most certainly isn't emblematic of a free, strong and vibrant social culture. So what in fact is it that we are facing, and what will anyone do about it except complain?

It doesn't look like Desmond knows what he is facing either which makes sense since he was thrust into this acid-haze, hallucinogenic caricature of a childhood, totally at the whim of his parents. His stinking, scumbag parents that spend the majority of their days blocking and banning commentators who express anything apart from adoration for Desmond on the social media pages his parents control on his behalf.
All Andrew and Wendy Lou Napoles (Desmond's parents) can do is complain too. That being the case, let us resign and follow this death march, let's close our eyes and reach for the rainbows so we all continue the doom spiral into the odious maw of Moloch together. Desmond is being sacrificed in front of our eyes to lead the way into the normalisation of pedophilia.
