Why I stopped using Twitter for MASTURBATION purposes!!!

We've all been there. We've all done it. The question is this:

Now, let me clarify a few things here first before we get into the DIRTY details.
I joined this community in June (I can't recall exactly when) however I've picked up on a few issues that seem to keep popping up. One of the prevailing ones and one that I feel will do more harm than good is Self Masturbation.

As I've mentioned we've all been there, we've all done it. Sometimes it is the best way for some quick relief. The only problem with implementing that train of thought here, in the Steemit community, is that you aren't helping anyone else... now I'm not saying that everyone should start jacking each other off in here. NOOOO, what I'm saying is that instead of being selfish you need to start thinking about those around you. You need to start thinking about the Steemit community. We're all here to help each other. Whether you're a whale sitting in some dark corner enjoying the pleasures you can give yourself or a minnow learning about Steemit, you all need to remember this. Without supporting each other (that means posting good content, commenting on good content, upvoting good content, building meaningful relationships, etc.) Steemit will turn into a rotting whale carcass floating in the ocean for the sharks to enjoy, should this train of thought continue. It will be gone, it will be dead and it will reek of selfishness.

Most of you have come here from a different platform, whether it be Twitter, Facebook or whatever. Those platforms don't offer you what Steemit can. The initial calling for most to Steemit was the promise of gold. For many of you this has become a reality. For others not so much. For some, it has become MORE than that. What you need to ask yourself is Why are you here? What is it that Steemit means to you? What do you mean to Steemit? Who do you idolize and why? Are you just sitting in a corner pleasuring yourself or are you here for everyone and everything that is Steemit?

Remember this before you want to sort yourself out again. Communities don't grow through masturbation, they grow through building relationships with each other.

Some key points to remember for minnows:

It's about quality, not quantity.
Communication is key. Quality communication.
Pick the RIGHT idols.
Be Real, don't be a fake it because you won't make it.
Build meaningful relationships.
Don't upvote your own comments.

There is more to Steemit than what I've mentioned here. The BIG question is "Will people be more selfless?" That, imo, is the only true way it will work in the long run.
