Hi fellow Steemians! Imawreader here! I'm back with my Now Slaying series as KZ performs Sheryl Crow's "Real Gone" from the animated film Cars.

Last Friday, the episode 8 of Singer 2018 was aired with a movie theme. Kz's performance of Real Gone has no doubt had the Chinese audiences jumping along with her and hyped, as well as her fellow contestants. The song was originally sung by Sheryl Crow which was used as opening song on Cars movie.

She began the first line of the song by changing "I'm American made bud light chevrolet" into "Filipino made spotlight world stage" and concluded it by injecting a rap at the end.

Watch her performance and see if she gave justice to the song.

There were reports that, KZ was out of the top 4 this week. Her pumping performance of Real Gone wasn't enough to earn her way to the top 4. She was given only three days to learn a song she never heard of. She even had to hastily learn the guitar's chords for her performance because she was asked to play an electric guitar on stage. Inspite of this, the pinay singer gladly accepted the challenge.

Want to know how much the guitar she was playing cost? It's a whooping $5,000! The limited edition instrument was a collaboration between New York-based streetwear brand Supreme and iconic guitar-maker Fender. KZ even said on one of her interviews that she was very lucky to get to play such an expensive guitar.

Unfortunately, Jessie J was absent for this week's performances. Supposedly, she will sing "My heart will go on" from the movie Titanic but she weren't able to perform due to illness.

There were no eliminations for this week because of Jessie J's absence. However, next week will be a double elimination.
