"Ethereal" - Writing Impact Challenge
ETHEREAL
She sat there in silence, entranced in her thoughts
Of sweet humming bluebirds and dreamy dandelions
She hid behind a smile and strong persona
Hard to tell, but she was tired of all the drama
Soothing coolness of the soft, gentle breeze
Invisible. Ethereal. Somehow it kept her at-ease
As if the wind was saying, in whispered silence
Joy is imminent.. Please have more patience
With eyes closed, she listened intently
To the healing music of ocean waves, so beautifully
remindful of earth's masterpieces
abundant and overflowing - no biases.
Vision of a beautiful swan appeared, as if on cue
Canceling unpleasant thoughts and feelings of blue
Suddenly, she understood
Life is worth it. Life is good.

nice one. what are the bold words.. i tried reading those seperately after i read the poem the first time, but they don't make sense.. :P yea, life is good!

You did a fine job building all those words in without allowing the poem to be forced in any way. It all holds together very positively. The sea shore can be a place of quiet tranquility or a place that reminds one of the forces of nature that are so immense, and which place us as such a small part of a greater whole.
