I thought that you just an author😊 but now I can see that you are really good on digital art too😉 why do you use the cityscape shadow behind the katana? Is it related to the story? Why katana from all kind of swords?
Forgive me for asking something that probably alread answered in your previous posts😯
Thanks!
I kept the shadow of the cityscape to help blend it into the forest picture - both parts have huge parts in the upcoming story.
The katana is simply because I think it is one of the more elegant and beautiful forms of the sword. For the shaze it doesn't matter too much - any steel sword will work as a shaze if it is sheathed in the Material. :-)
Maybe I'll do a separate post for that... :-)
I see.. so there's a connection between the story line and the cover, maybe you should blend the side line of the cityscape part a bit (imho) or drag it closer to tree bark to make doesn't look like a copy-paste (though it is😉) well.. I don't do graphic or art, you don't have to consider my opinion, it a bit ..uhmm.. not beautiful to see for me (again... just me).
Do you make all illustration for your books by yourself?
They are two separate places - connected, but not.
The city of Irola isn't particularly beautiful, and although not terribly far away from the rainforests of Çtaráña, they are distinct. So, I wanted to keep the two places distinct, yet connected.
Yes, I do all my own illustration. Maybe some day I'll be lucky enough to not need to. I have some creatures who need pictures, after all... but until then, I do the best I can. :-)
(I appreciate your honest opinion.)
