The Creative Writing Challenge Pre-Launch Post #2
Exactly two days ago on a lovely Saturday, you were invited to take part in a creative writing challenge as an opportunity to test and hopefully improve your creative writing skills. We've now entered a new week and my invitation is still valid.
So:
- I'd like to tell the stories of extraordinary people like @hristoatanasov and any other personality living out of their comfort zone and challenging the status quo
- Be able to create amazing stories based on simple ground like an old picture
- Tell my own story (probably not in the next 5 years, but still.. would be nice to be well prepared by then:))
If you feel that deeply inside you there's a writer looking to find an exit to the surface, then do not waste the time you are given anymore. This creative writing challenge is a golden opportunity for boosting your inner creativity and leading you to a brand new, better version of yourself.

Price pool
The current prize pool is 10 SBD. It will be increased and we are looking for sponsors to donate 1, 5, 10 or any other nice looking number of SBD.
Rules
In a sequence of 9 posts you'll receive a different creative writing challenge to write and publish on your own Steemit blog. It will be like a game and those of you who cope with all the tasks will share the price pool at the end. People who end up close enough to the finish line will be rewarded as well.
If you are patient enough, you'll still see a table with the dates of all the 9 challenges in advance.
I'll be submitting the instructions in a separate post during the Monday-Friday time frame and we won't count the weekends. Before that, we need to get enough participants with few informative Pre-Launch Posts.
NB! The not so obvious benefits of taking part in this challenge:
- a significant improvement of your creative writing skills
- a chance to build new healthy writing routines (the same hidden benefit as @merej99's challenge)
- an opp to compare your work with the one of your colleagues and discover personal weaknesses to improve
- connecting with other people with the same interest able to give you feedback and encourage you during the challenge and beyond that

Are you thinking of doing one challenge per week so there will be a bit of time to write? Just thinking my life feels full but I need to take part as I need to improve my writing.
@flemingfarm, having in mind the level of involvement that @merej99 had in her challenge (it was intensive journey as I remember), I would definitely think about your suggestion.
I think this is a great moment for @merej99 to show up and share her own opinion about the proposal. @denmarkguy's thoughts and any other people's opinions are also widely welcomed.

I've spotted you in the first post about the challenge and you are already part of the challengers. Here's the latest update. We are still in the pre-launch phase, however already heading towards to the beginning.

Hi! I'm back from vacation and getting caught up with Steemit and VIVA madness but I'm definitely interested! I need to get back into the swing of things before I head out for my other son's graduation & celebration. :P So... I might fail miserably with the challenge...but I might not! Sign me up. :)
Ah... there you are @merej99 :) You are kindly accepted as one of the challengers! I'd be curious to read few words about the Marine Corps Bootcamp Graduation ceremony you've recently enjoyed :) I guess the whole vacation was full of unusual types of pleasant activities that have interrupted your usual daily routines.
As for the creative writing challenge - There's a little discussion - should it be organized as a weekly challenge or as a daily one. Your professional challenge creator opinion on the matter will be highly appreciated :)
I can afford such kind of discussion before we are still in the pre-launch phase. So it's an opp to polish the rules, collect more challengers and probably make a minimal change in your daily schedule to be able to participate effectively.
Looking forward to seeing how this takes shape... might come onboard when I know the parameters a little bit more.

For me the game was actually today morning :D Was fun, got invited to perform a karaoke concert beforehand and got gifted my own shuttlecock afterwards. :)

Oh, I got it! :) Nice to see you are taking care of your physical shape. It's a nice that your brain has access to more oxygen. ... and this is a cool advantage especially in challenges like this one - your efforts will result in writing an awesome content with less efforts.

Sign me up please. My suggestion if not too late would be every other day, just because some days life gets in the way of inspiration, but would try every day if that's final decision :)
Hello @hopehuggs! I'd be happy to do that, however we should obey to the initial rules. Look, you've missed the deadline both for the challenge and for the first task. I would improvise and suggest you to start from task #2, however you should also agree to participate as a non-formal member. Ah... I hate myself in such type of situations - I'd like to stay loyal to the initial rules and in the same time you are showing up and I can't fully say No. That makes it even worse is that few people already decided to challenge themselves with the next edition of the competition. And here we are, sitting in the middle of nothing. So, my suggestion would be the following: follow the tasks, submit your entries and have fun. There's a SBD reward that will be separated between all participants who has entered, participated and submitted posts for all 9 tasks. The SBD reward isn't something significant, so I hope you wouldn't mind being welcomed at the challenge and skipping the SBD treat.

Cool, I'l include note with other people who decided to follow the rules and started from later. It will be a great opportunity to stick to some kind of a routine and train your creative muscle at the same time :)
