I take out a blank piece of paper...

"If a tree falls in the forest and no one is around to hear it, does it make a sound?"

... and etch out this picture with a pen.

I wonder,

"What about my blog? If I skip a day of writing, will it be apparent?"

My blog is not an ecosystem, it makes no sound, and has zero fuzzy animals living in its branches.

It is ether. It is idea. It is communication.

"What are some other things that I can neglect?"

I wonder. Then,

Blink, blink!

My cell phone lights up with a text from Z-ni:

"Roar lion of the heart and tear me open."

It's a poem translated from ancient sufi Rumi.

I remember that morning. I awoke with a long tired yawn, followed by a desire to stoke my spirit, and then a return to imprinted depression. Five years - or so - later, I drew this picture of the memory.

I had a lot to learn about the power behind choice.

It's not a flip to switch.

At least it's not for me.

It's more like a wave to ride.

Like a sunset to catch.

Do you know what I mean?

Paramahamsa Nithyananda says:

"Only when the urge becomes urgent, when the question becomes a quest, does the ultimate happen. The key factor needed for enlightenment to happen is intensity."

She continues:

"If you are partial in your experience or expression, be very clear you are being hypocritical."
