NEVER GO BACK TO A PLACE WHERE YOU ONCE WERE HAPPY - An inspirational post for your weekend

Never go back to a place where you once were happy. I often hear and read this, and often think about it too. But, why should people say that? Why should we not go back to the places where once we were happy for a second, third, or an n-th time? For fearing the disappointment of not be happy again, this time? For not betraying the memory, the moments we have lived there, afraid that they may be replaced by a different and perhaps not so good experience? For fear that we have exaggerated, deified this happiness we have supposedly lived and, finally, when we get there, end up realizing that these happy memories, when faced with a recurrent reality, were not that much, after all?

I don’t know. I only know that I like going back to the places where I was happy, to the places and to the people. If I was happy then, why not believe that I will be happy again, that it will be good again, that to the initial happiness, another one, perhaps richer, will merge with the first one? And if it is not as good, what harm will it cause? The happiness that this place or this person has given us, can no longer be stolen away!

And why not make happiness happen, again? Why not? In life, don’t we have what we wish, what we seek?
So let's be happy in every place we have already been and everywhere we go, as many times as we allow ourselves to be.
