Pen is the mightiest sword, as they say. Many people would agree to that. You can easily express yourself and your opinions through writings. You just have to make sure that you are able to do it effectively. So, what are some of the things that we have to remember in order to come up with good writings?

• RELEVANCE

Why would you write something? There should be a specific reason why you'd want to tackle a certain subject. It should either be informative, entertaining, creative and inspirational. You can't just write anything just for the sake of it. It should be relevant to the readers, or else, it wouldn't serve its purpose.

• CREATIVITY/ FORMALITY

  You need to make sure that your writings aren't boring in order to keep your readers hooked from start to finish. If it's an informal write-up, then some figurative languages would help in making it more interesting. If it's a formal write-up, you have to be concised and direct to the point. Make sure to use the proper words that would make you sound formal and credible.

• PASSION

  I personally believe that being able to write something--whether an article, novel or a poem---is both a talent and skill. Some people were born to write as if it's already part of their DNA. But for some, it was mastered through hardwork and lots and lots of practice. So, it is important that you are passionate to write because it's going to be your fuel to keep on getting better one write-up after another.

  If you really want to become a good writer, always remember that it's not something that you can master overnight. It takes hardwork, patience and determination to become the best writer that you can be. Explore and experience more and more things that you can write about. You also need to make sure that you've made some research before writing something. Your sources should be credible because you wouldn't want to be a bearer of fake news.

Remember these simple tips and you'd surely become a better writer. Yes, it's not as easy as it sounds, but if you're really committed to it, then you'd surely get better!
