 kashmir issue and why it needs to be solved by kashmiris not India and Pakistan.

kashmir is the main reason of so much hate between India and Pakistan.Both of these countries have already fought three wars on kashmir issue in past back in 1947 1965 and 1971. Both of  these countries claim kashmir as their territory so what if kashmiris don't want any one of these two.

why kashmiris want separate country:

Kashmiris want separate country they don't want to ally with India or Pakistan . Both of these countries are trying to decide the future of the kashmir valley without taking the opinion of kashmiris as they did at the time of Simla conference. kashmiris want separate country becuse they want to live their lives freely not under the occupation of indian army. As compared to other states of India the kashmir have the less colleges and only two flyovers. Indian government is failed to provide the basic necessities to kashmiris . There has never been a referendum to ask the opinion of the people who live there.

why India and Pakistan claim kashmir:

• The Pakistanis say that Kashmir should have become part of Pakistan in 1947 because most of its population are Muslims.
• India claims Kashmir because the Maharaja in Kashmir handed over various powers to India in 1947.

why kashmir is so important to both of them:

• due to its tourism attraction and extreme beauty.
• due to its geographical importance.
• Kashmir is a strategic area for military purposes.
• Kashmir controls a major mountain gateway. 
• All major rivers flow from kashmir.

why referendum is necessary:

Referendum is the only solution to this unsolved issue . India will never allow referendum because 

 kashmiris will never vote in favour of India.UN also forced India to hold a referendum in valley.

Recently,India gets a blow at UN, Kashmir shown as separate country, not part of India.
