Xpaths. Episode 5. Meeting Parents

And here it is – that very important moment, meeting the parents of your girlfriend for the first time.
In the past previous relationships Adrian had faulted on this stage. Once he had an Italian girlfriend and to impress her father he ate the whole three course that were spaghetti, spaghetti and another spaghetti under different sauces. Adrian thought at that stage that maybe his tiny body can't really withstand that quantity of carbohydrates. He didn't have a poo for almost a week after! Oh well.
Nervous and trying not to think too much about the imminent encounter with the parents, Adrian was more quiet than usual.
On the way there in the taxi from the railway station Helen taking Adrian by the hand asked him with her melodic voice:
“Did I mention that my father is Russian?”
“What”,- exclaimed Adrian. Russian? Stop the car!”,- he shouted.
Confused taxi driver immediately slammed his foot on the break bringing the car to a half accident.
Helen looked puzzled: “Does it make so much difference”,- she asked in an upset voice. “Maybe I should have told you this before”.
Now Adrian laughed. “Sorry, that was a joke”. He apologized to the taxi driver who looked very annoyed.
Adrian continued cheerfully saying to Helen: “Got you. It doesn't matter who your father I will be pleased to meet him”.
-Ok, - she smiled forgiving him.
-By the way did you say to him that I am Englishman.
-No, why?
Seeing the face distort of Adrian she giggled. “Don't worry I did tell him”.
She continued: “Actually he said that anglo-saxons have always been our enemies. Geopolitically”.
-Now you are joking, right? Good one.
-Well. Not really. But don't worry. I am sure he will like you. And we have not always been enemies. Remember in WW2, we were allies then.
-Something we could repeat then. I would like to be an ally. Of your father of course.
-Don't worry. He's a good person. Surely all will be fine.
Then she added with a whisper so the taxi driver couldn't hear “Also he thinks you are a spy”.
-Bond, Adrian Bond,- replied jokingly Adrian.
-Yes, you do look like Daniel Craig a little bit. Only more handsome.
-Thank you, baby.
