The Short Story of Your Phone You Need to Know

in #writing7 years ago

Amongst others, the most important thing you'd learn if you read this piece is this...

"Writing Crystallizes Thoughts!"

Great people aren't founded by great ideas.

Check the African graves, and you'd find more treasures than oil, gas, and gold buried therein.

Great people are founded by bringing their ideas to life.

By using what came to their minds as thought hunches blown on them by the natural breeze flowing from Infinite Intelligence: God, to solve theirs, and other people's problems.

So how did, or do they do it?

Its simple, and anyone, even you, can do same.

They wrote down every idea that crossed their paths.

And that's irrespective of the sense organs it came from: feelings, smell, sight, taste, or noise.

Whichever it came from, they wrote it down immediately.

They "Crystallized Thoughts."

So how does this concern the story of phones?

Sit tight!

Many years ago, truly great people: Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Wallace D. Wattles, Mahatma Gandhi, Chinua Achebe, (add yours!) etc... were known for, and modelled for one thing.

They always carried notepads (or diaries), with which they immediately wrote down any idea that crossed their path.

People craved to be like them, so the birth of notepads became a big business.

Everyone had it.

In fact, you were easily mistaken for an unserious person if you didn't have one.

That trend remained until the innovation, which I believe is what you're reading this post from: PHONES, emanated.

So it became a difficulty carrying phones, which had made its way into been an integral part of human life, and a notepad at the same time.

Again to solve this problem, and retain the importance of notepads, disruptive giants, Apple, introduced the iPad.

It's popularity spread the entire world competitors gave it a more acceptable name, which you should know of: Tablets.

Again, these iPads and Tablets were too big to be handled and carried about effectively, so they made phones big enough, and small enough to fit in.

They made Phablets.

That's the idea many phones, including yours (unless you'd prefer a better one), are made with.

But the ultimate question is this, why are they made so?

By incorporating a connection channel, and a notepad into one device, they wanted you to be able to do two primary things...

  1. Connect with family and friends

  2. Easily write down any idea that crosses your path.

The sad part?

Many people, maybe including you, are being carried away by the first.

No thanks to the overloads of activities popping up from every corner of all the social media platforms you own accounts on.

But remember, the first doesn't add much value to your life.

It is simply you trying to connect, hence it would not make you a great person.

The second will.

I'm certain because the greatest businesses you can make mention of today started with an idea.

Even all the means of which you're reading this short story with, were all made possible by someone's idea.

So ask yourself, how many ideas have I written down?

When last did you even navigate to the second, and perhaps most important reason for building a phone of such magnitude, which you're holding right now?

The funny thing is, so many people don't know they have a notepad on their phones.

They've sold all of their attention, and brain power to the never ending unimportant activities on social media.

"Writing Crystallizes Thoughts!"

You've what you need to get started right there on your phone.

It may require a million dollars to bring your idea to life, but at least writing it down, in the crudest form it comes in is absolutely FREE.

You're a great being, because you were created by a Great Being.

All you need is a small written idea to shine among the stars.

And those ideas crosses your path every single day in several quantities.

The best part?

You're not late.

And the notepad on your phone would still remain loyal despite your previous neglect of it.

Luckily, you don't need a pen.

Will you?

P.S. What you just read is the product of a 3:17am idea.

I try to do this myself when I have a dream or nightmare that I don't want to forget. Mine has nothing to do with anyone but myself, at least for the most part. It's a great way to end a day as well... take a pad, notebook, or phone and jot down all ideas floating in your head as you lie down to sleep.

If you do this as a way to decompress and release the ideas from your brain to tackle the next day, you will find that you are able to fall asleep much easier.

Exactly. It takes real discipline to do this, but the reward for doing it outweighs the stress and time.

Thank you for your comment, and I'd love to see what you think out next.

You should peruse some of my stories that I've written... some come directly from dreams and nightmares. One of my more recent set of posts (a 3-Part Story) comes directly from a nightmare that my wife had a few weeks back. I've been told it's super-creepy and horrifying, but I don't think the story's that far.

I'd love to have a look.

Can you share the link?

Thanks.

Certainly. Here are the 3 links to my 3-Part Story:
