Well, your rank dropped from 2 to 20 since that post came around so I guess you know what the community thinks about you as a witness. If you want to prove them wrong, tell us what you've done for steem in the last 6 months.
It's a fair question. First off, I don't think #2 made any sense, as I touched on here. As to what else I've done, I continue to run a trusted, secure witness node which, to me, is the primary job of a witness. My reasons for being a witness haven't changed much from when I first started, which revolve around using my technical experience and communication abilities to educate people about cryptocurrency. Part of that value add includes being involved in multiple cryptocurrency projects. Some appreciate this and others do not. As of next month I'll have three years of content on chain helping educate people in the space.
As for the last 6 months, here are some examples of things I've been involved with:
Some may prefer that I only promote Steem and not the other things I'm passionate about such as eosDAC or FIO, but I'm more interested in creating a world we all want to live in. I think it will take multiple cryptocurrency projects to do that. If that invalidates my eligibility as a top witness and there are other more trusted, more active, more beneficial witnesses to put above me, I'm fully okay with that.
Being a witness, IMO, is about being trustworthy and truthful. My record online demonstrates my commitment to those key principles.
All valid points but I'm afraid not enough to deserve the #2 spot in my opinion. I'm not going to reply addressing all the points in your comment above because in the end my opinion doesn't really matter in the grand scheme of things. I'll just let the community be the judge of it. No hard feelings mate.
I agree, as I already stated, not enough to earn the number #2 spot. I can't explain why people like @jesta are not in the top 20 after all the value they've brought here (Vessel, SteemDB, etc)
It's a "what have you done for me lately" world I guess...
