XPILAR's Digital Image Writing Competition(93) ~ The Golden Castle on the Yellow Sea

Since I was young I have always been dreaming of a Castle on the Yellow Sea. In the dreams, this imaginary castle sits so majestically surrounded by this yellow sea under a starry night.

I don't have the name and address of the castle in my dreams but I know one thing for sure, it was built on the Yellow Sea. Lately, I have been doing some research looking for a place located on the Yellow Sea and interestingly I found that the Yellow Sea is located as a marginal sea of the Western Pacific Ocean between mainland China and the Korean Peninsula, and can be considered the northwestern part of the East China Sea. Wow, that would only mean that this sea is one of four seas named after common color terms (the others being the Black Sea, the Red Sea, and the White Sea). Okay, all these colors have made me wonder about the uniqueness and beauty of those seas and their color descriptions.

So here is the visit of my lifetime. I tried to book my flight and a hotel to the marginal sea of the Western Pacific Ocean. And have I not got the shock of my life. What???? the total journey to reach there are 3 days 11 hours plus 5 stops. The first thing that I was thinking of being a lady of course how many dresses I must pack, hmm and I must think of the weather and all. Okay, I must remain positive to search for this Castle on the Yellow Sea. All my flights and hotel bookings have been done. Luckily Malaysian Passport is one of the most powerful in the world, I was talking to myself. So all these bookings have been cleared easily as I do not need a VISA to go to all those places.

The Golden Castle on the Yellow Sea

Here I am standing in front of this magnificent castle. I cannot say anymore how exactly this castle looks like as I saw it in my dreams. I have just reached this area after checking into my hotel. The journey was a fabulous one like everyone was treating me so preciously like a princess. I was even thinking that this dream of mine must be the reason all these people were treating me nicer than ever. They were all must have been related to my dream somehow. The hotel concierge explains to me that the Castle that I was looking for is called the Golden Castle and it was very famous among tourists but can only be visited at night. All their services only open at night starting from 8 pm. That is one of its specialties, he said. Hmmm sounds like Hotel California, I thought silently.

I was waiting for my boat ride, the moon here looks so different, the sand is golden, the moon is golden. I have got this beautiful photo of the Castle on the Yellow Sea by the famous artist @XPILAR that I got from the Concierge guy. This photo is the souvenir that I would carry home with me. I know that I can't take a good photo using my phone without any proper lighting under this moonlight. So, this will be the best souvenir for me to bring home, thanks to @XPILAR.

My boat ride is here, here goes my adventure to meet my dream castle. I wonder what I will find and who I will see? I hope the ending will be nice and memorable. The boat driver was wearing a golden colored vest. He was so charming in a very pleasant manner but did not talk much, only the important one. So I keep myself silent. The boat itself was shiny in golden color. Perhaps this boat was made of gold. I was the only one tonight riding this boat as I arrived on Wednesday night, not a usual tourist time. Anyway, that could only mean I can have the castle all by myself. Or perhaps I will meet my prince charming there, for there must be a reason why mother nature is sending me here. My imaginations start running wild.
