Strange things in world Episode 2 - World Wife Carrying Championships

You might have seen race where husband carries his wife & participates in race but do you know there is Championships organized for same ?

Many countries like Australia, United States, UK, India, etc. have organized this same race & there is even World champions organized for same in Finland. World Wife Carrying Championships have been organized 20 times & there have been 9 different couple champions till 2016 with Taisto Miettinen (Finland) and Kristiina Haapanen (Finland) winning 5 times in a row from 2009 to 2013.

Official length of track is 253.5 meters with two dry obstacles and a water obstacle about one meter deep. Minimum weight of Wife should be 49 Kg & it weights less then 49 Kgs then she burdened with a rucksack containing additional weight. It is not necessary that wife which is to be carried should be you own, it can be of neighbor's, or some one else as well. Wife needs to be 17 year old to participate in this contest.

Apart from winners the most entertaining couple, the best costume, and the strongest carrier will be awarded a special prize.
