CABINET MAKER X #22 Curved Skirting Board Part 3
So disaster has stuck!
Ok so maybe that was a bit dramatic but after cutting and sanding the curved skirting I realised the the grain had brown streaks in it.
I could only see them in a certain light and further investigation proved that they would be unusable.
It was difficult to see any problem before when I originally chose the oak.
So I have cut my losses and will start from scratch.
These things happen, You will also see in the video that I have cut my thumb! Ironically this was with a bread knife and nothing to do with woodwork.

Hey, my name is M3, and I'm giving you an upvote, and a subscribe. Me and my community of followers are trying to kill YouTube, and make DTube bigger and better than any other video site. YouTube doesn't reward creators like they deserve, so we're all helping each other out. Anyway, keep going! What we're doing really is the way of the future.``
Hi nice to meet you. That sounds like an awesome idea. Yes this is where it's at.
That's rough but it happens from time to time at least you caught it before assembly.
Yes indeed , I am glad I spotted it in time or it really could have been a disaster. Thanks
This is the bobo I made today luckily it was only one, but on some box joints I cut inside the line or outside the line either way; but it's a project for me and being how it was only one and the placement I'm able to hide it in the project.
Yes it is so easy done, glad you could save it.
I did it again when I was making the drawer, but it was the first cut so I was just able to mirror image the whole thing. Had to pay extra close attention from that point I may do a write up on marking gauges it made it so easy to lay out finger joints.
It happens, to me anyway and it is always the simple things. You should do a write up definitely, everyone's personal experience is a great learning tool for others I think.
