Vote-Slider Proposal (PowerVote)
I have been pondering about the visual vote-slider on steemit.com and thinking about what to change to make it better. After a lot of thinking I have come to the conclusion in my opinion that "the new vote slider" should look something like this:
Not always, but some times I want to give someone more than just a 100% upvote. For example when @inertia or @furion or @contentjunkie create something awesome, or @roelandp makes a new APP, I wish I could give them a 200% upvote or 500% upvote or 4000% Upvote!
The Freedom to give someone a POWER-VOTE from time to time
What do you think about this idea, stupid? brilliant? negotiable?

that's why we need a substeems - with a possibility to set custom rules. For some communities this will work, but no for others.
I work within the framework we have, I do not wish to re-invent the slider and I do not believe in the idea of substeems at this point in time. I can give you from -100% to +100% that is the scale. My suggestion is from -4000% to +4000% in the current framework as described in the OP.

NO I do not like this idea . I never vote with your suggested 1% and I would not vote with 4000.

I don't think changing the power to the vote beyond 100% will create a better community. Actually, I have the gut feel less individuals will get more votes (ie power votes go to a limited amount of individuals, and these individuals kind of being the same individuals). The newer users are not part of these (mostly), they will actually become victims, ie they will need an even longer time to find some rewards on the platform. I don't think that can be the aim.
May I ask you why you vote to a lot of posts with only 0,1%? That is the total opposite to 4000% you suggest here?

I would say all proposals should be considered "negotiable". I don't like the multiple sliders, if that's what you intended. One slider with a range selector of some type would reduce the screen real estate used.
well of course it will be one slider. I just illustrated it in 3 different positions :D
