An interview with @krnel via "meet a whale" interview... Episode 14

Hello Steemians, I bring to you another episode of my interview in which I get to ask some technical Steem questions and also bring you closer to your witnesses. For this week's interview, I bring to you @krnel, A steemian who has a great passion for the Steem blockchain, a steemian who works tirelessly at the witness level, a philosopher, as well as a reputable witness. @jamesmovic - Who introduced you to steemit and what was your motive for joining?

@krnel - I saw a Facebook post by the Dollar Vigilante from Steemit about how he made money, and decided to check it out. Then I started posting to give it a try.

@jamesmovic - How many times do you think its appropriate for a newbie to post per day?

@krnel - 4 times a day for anyone. Post and get content out for people to be exposed to it and see the content. Once a day is good. If you can do more, go ahead. One a week is a bit too little to get noticed among so many posts flying around.

@jamesmovic - What communities are you supporting and how?

@krnel - Philosophy, psychology, veganism, information about the world.

@jamesmovic - Can you tell us why you decided to become a witness?

@krnel - To help with keeping the blockchain up and running and be a force for positive change on the platform.

@jamesmovic - Can you tell us how your feel about it (witnessing) now?

@krnel - I missed the opportunity to stay high in the witness list and dropped by 40 spots over the past year as I lost favor with many people on the platform. I still have the server to witness blocks and maintain the blockchain integrity, but I along with others are easily repalceable.

@jamesmovic - What exactly does "voting for a witness" means to you, and do you think it is necessary for all steemians to vote, most especially for you?

@krnel - Voting for a witness is many things, but for me it's to support people who are helping to bring Stem in a positive direction, not negative.

@jamesmovic - What are your thoughts on the possibility of there being a new "Steem 2", lik if someone decides to clone steem?

@krnel - Anyone can take the code and make another blockchain, but getting financial support will be hard to pay for the hardware infrastruture to support many users. Someone would have to add something that Steem isn't doing.

@jamesmovic - Is there anything you would like to say on your own, without me asking the question?

@krnel - Stop using bidbots everybody. You will see a better system when whales and other accounts go out to get their curation rewards by supporting content themselves, rather than you having to pay them to get a vote and they get curation rewards as well.

@jamesmovic - Any advice you would wish to give to my fellow steemians[ newbies] who are feeling dejected one way or the other due to low upvotes?

@krnel - Write content that you know about if that is what you want to do without concern for rewards. If you want attention and rewards, put out content they want to see and interact on you with. Comment on other people's posts with relevant info that adds value, and you will get more people to do the same on your posts, in time. This all takes time, and paying your way to popularity for rewards or attention is not the honest way to go about it.
