Wikileaks Releases US Embassy Worldwide Shopping List - 16,000 Procurement Requests

A new searchable database has been released to the public containing more than 16,000 US Embassy requests.
The recently banned and unbanned Wikileaks main Twitter account, followed the announcement of the database with a Tweet concerning the US embassy in El Salvador's request for more than 100 pieces of spy equipment.

This item list might help other governments who are interested in spying on their citizens. And people / activists will be able to take measures to avoid getting spied. I didn't know US Embassy was a fan of AVI format.
I wonder why?
Unfortunately, I haven't had much free time to take a look at this release myself... and now we have TDO hacks coming out on the platform... but yes just the fact that US embassies around the world are shipping in all types of spy gear is quite revealing as to how things work at the ground level in regards to international relations, spy-craft, traditional diplomacy, etc. I think it's safe to assume that everyone is spying on everyone, not really surprising in that respect.

I am not surprised @v4vapid about these spy tools by America, they are the superior power in these activities for the interest of the US homeland.
Looks like Santa and his helpers will be using a stealth jet fighter to deliver all the wonderful presents from now on!
