RE: Recent created and updated wiki pages in English, Portuguese, Spanish and Vietnamese languages. And an idea to crowdfund our project using Fundition.

Steem is a very complex system and, while a publishing platform, it is rather ill-suited to acting as a knowledge base - it organises articles in chronological order like a blog and does not reward long-life contributions. Therefore, a wiki-like counterpart is a very useful addition.

What about linking the wiki-like application with the steem blockchain and finding an overriding mechanism that manages to reward good contributions even beyond the 7 days limit ?

Imagine the following: one can upvote an article but if the article is older than 7 days then steem.center automatically copies the content and posts a new post with the same content to the steem blockchain so that the "late vote" can now count toward the newly published post ? After all, what deserves upvotes is the quality of the content, a "post" is just a container - if the content is good, moving it from an old, dilapidated container to a new one seems like a good idea. Of course this is contingent upon manual curation of all content on steem.center, just like on Wikipedia, to avoid abuses

I think it is a good idea! It would work if the process of creating a copy in Steem blockchain when the article is upvoted in the wiki were automated. If our proposal of wiki rewards were attractive another option would be adapting old Steem posts to became articles on Steem.center or vice-versa, I wrote a post about it in: https://steemit.com/steemcenterwiki/@wagnertamanaha/the-birth-of-a-steem-center-wiki-article-about-witness Our project limitation is that all work is managed by hand, nothing is automated, maybe we can evolve to automate the rules applications like your suggestion or even mimic other blockchain and cryptocurrencies driven wikis like Lunyr and Everipedia. Thanks and good luck again!

Absolutely, the process of "reposting" should be automated. The "work managed by hand" is a "must have" in order to avoid abuses. But then again one can use the "beneficiary" option of the steem blockchain - when a good article is "reposted", it is reposted from the central steemwiki account and adds the manual curator as beneficiary - so the manual curator is incentivized to do a good job because he'll make a bit of steem from his work
