Wide Open Daily: Day 70
In the last few weeks i've shared a couple of the other lilies that we have growing around our house, so for today's #wideopendaily I have several photo's of the white lilies we planted in our flower bed a couple years ago!!
I sprayed these down with water while I was watering tomato plants just to give them a little shine!
They are just full of pollen!
I did a little more 'Freelensing' today and got some pretty cool closeups!
The stamen and stigma both look pretty cool in macro!
Did I mention they are FULL of pollen!!?!
The petals have lots of texture to them if you look closely!
This water droplet was just hanging out waiting for me to find it!
What is Wide Open Daily you ask?
Well..... I've grown tired of trying to come up with something new for the weekly #colorchallenge and many of the other photography prompts I have used here on Steemit over the last year and decided it's time to just do my own thing!
Sooooo....I'm going to challenge myself to take at least one new photo everyday with my Sigma Art 50mm wide open at f/1.4!! I freeking love this lens and the super narrow depth of field it creates when used wide open!
Thanks for checkin' it out!!
Thank you for your contribution to the Photocircle tag!
Cheers,

"Freelensing?"
Very interesting.
I had never heard of it. Off to theGoogle I went, and wow!
Now, I am fascinated by it.
Ahhhahahaaa!!! Try it!!! I do it backwards with the front of the lens against the body for the macro effect!
Looks like the flowers are wide-open, too! nice shots. Nailing focus wide open can be really tricky.
How do you like the Sigma 50mm f/1.4? I have an older Canon equivalent and, while it isn't quick to focus, it's a fun lens. When I lived in Spain, I used to use it for street photos at night :-)
I absolutely love it!! I will say if you get one....get the dock too! My copy was very forward focusing!
