Chivas Regal 12 Year Scotch Whisky Review
Although the Chivas 12 Year is a blended whisky and I prefer single malts, I have been wanting to give it a taste for quite some while now. I finally had an opportune moment while out drinking with a friend last night.
Let's dive in.
Though this Chivas is a blended whisky, as a product of Scotland with an age statement I figured I would not be disappointed, and I wasn't. It's a decent drink for a decent price.
Nose.
Raisins. Solvent. Cinnamon. Vanilla and butterscotch. The faintest (almost imperceptible) hints of smoke and peat.
Mouth.
Oily mouthfeel. Raisins. Bread. The flavor, for me, on first contact, felt a bit disassembled and not extremely well-ingrated. That said, it is overall an enjoyable taste.
Finish
Black pepper, spices, and solvent burn. Lingering vanilla.

@kafkanarchy84 I dont drink but this one reminds me of my father -
which guy don't like this? I think most men are crazy of Chivas Regal but I wonder what a 12 year old whisky smell or taste like and you just defined all of them in this post . Now, I wonder again - would it smell and taste like that for me, too? I guess I'll never find out :)
