In 2000, there was a murder in New York. The case of a 19-year-old Hong Kong immigrant girl and her boyfriend, who conspired to strangle her biological parents with a leather belt, caused much discussion at the time.
Director Zhang Jingwei, inspired by this case, wrote the script Somewhere Beyond The Mist to show life at the bottom of Hong Kong society and dig out the crux of it.
Compared with the Chinese name of the film, I personally think that the English name has better express the essence of the film. The heroine Stephy Tang also contributed the best acting performance of her career.
I think the movie will tell you how terrible the crime of the original family and the violence on campus is.

导演张经纬受该案件启发写了《蓝天白云》这个剧本，以此来展现香港社会底层生活，挖掘其社会症结之所在。
与本片的中文名字相比，我个人觉得英文名更能表达影片的精髓。女主角邓丽欣，也贡献了她演艺生涯中最佳演技。
