Wednesday Walk: Panmure Island Lighthouse
#wednesdaywalk is an idea started by @tattoodjay. He suggests to get out for a short walk and get some shots of what you can see within a short distance of your home office or wherever you start.
My Wednesday Walk is a walk around the grounds of the lighthouse at Panmure Island.
Panmure Island Lighthouse
Panmure Island is part of Prince Edward Island and is connected by a man-made causeway.
The lighthouse is the oldest wooden one on P.E.I.
As this Welcome Sign explains, when the government decommissioned the lighthouse, many where taken over by the community.
A look out to sea where two people are walking the beach.

Thanks Neli. Yes, if the volunteers in the communities hadn’t taken over we would have lost these lovely lighthouses. Most have a little gift shop inside with art from the local people.
