My Wanderings on a Wednesday Walk With Malcolm

Malcolm my Beagle/ Pitty mix, loves to go on trail walks as much as I do. Whenever I have time off and the weather is good, off we go!
This happens to be a short (slightly less than a mile) but pretty trail we like to visit. We often see other people and doggys along the way.
Oh boy, Malcolm saw a chipmunk make its way to this interesting old tree. The Beagle in him loves to chase little critters (Also big ones as he once dragged me on a merry chase after a few deer we saw in the woods lol.) so he needs to be kept on a lead at all times unfortunately.
About half way through you come across these nifty random birdhouses a bit off the trail. There are a few sets of them here and there.
Off a very short side trail is this neat hidden stream with a bench to sit on.
Malcolm making sure he did not miss anything before we head back to the car. He spends most of the time sniffing everything around him when we are out wandering.
Ok we're good now, back to the car and home we go! I hope you enjoyed our quick wander for Wednesday walk day! :)

Great looking #wednesdaywalk I especially like the beautiful little stream. Your first and last photos remind me of the saying "if you ain't the lead dog, the view never changes" haha We are considering get another dog. Ours past away a few years ago. How do you like your beagle/pit mix? Probably high energy?
Thank you! It is pretty little trail thats great for short walks. Malcom definitely likes to lead the way for sure lol. He is an awesome smart, athletic, and fairly high energy dog. We rescued him from a shelter four years ago and are very happy we did!
