My WednesdayWalk , Looking at Chinese New Year - 2020.
A little late with my #wednesdaywalk publication although i did do my walk on wednesday it has just been such a busy week and the weeks are moving along even faster then last year , already today is the end of the month can you believe it...lol.
I left my place just after mid-day to go to Siam Paragon shopping mall to visit the Samsung mobile service center as my phone had be attacked by a virus , no not the CoronaVirus ...thank God 🙏
Before entering the shopping mall i thought i would take the advantage of taking some photos of the lovely decoration the Siam Paragon mall had set up around there mall for the Chinese New Year , Siam Paragon never disappoints they also seem to have the best display of decorations on any function.
Inside the mall they also had this wonderful Chinese dragon on display.
This year unfortunately even with all the beautiful displays to welcome the Chinese New Year the crowds were much lower in Thailand then other years and this is due to the CoronaVirus , scaring many people from traveling abroad.
In Chinese culture , 2020 marks the Year of the Rat, which they believe this animal will bring them wealth and surplus. According to Chen, the rat is known for his speed and cunning, and the Year of the Rat brings careful planning and increased wealth.
Unfortunately the Samsung sale service were not able to help me in Siam Paragon , they told me there service center was down the road at CentralWorld shopping mall about a 20 minute walk so that i did and ended up in CentralWorld shopping mall and here they took to my phone and got them demon viruses out of my phone so my phone has survived and is all in working order once again 😀
I was all happy and content that my phone was back to normal from CentralWorld shopping mall i walked to the next train station and when and visited a friend after spending a couple hours with him having a chit-chat and a coffee i left his place and headed back to Siam Paragon because i knew there was going to be a Chinese New Year show happening i always enjoy seeing these dragon performances.
Getting back to Siam Paragon shopping mall seemed more lively then the day time , i could see things were getting on the way for the show the crowd was definitely a lot thicker.
I wondered around took a few photos but wasn't really intented to stay for the show it was to crowded around the barricades of the show grounds i had been out for quite a few hours already so i was hungry and tired and needed to get home but not without taking a few shots of the performers.
You know to be honest i would have liked to stay for the show but i was worried about been amongst a huge crowd with this CoronaVirus it did scare me of i really hope they get this virus under control , well i am home now and enjoying the sunset view of my balcony with a nice cup of coffee i hope you all had a great #wednesdaywalk ... They are certainly ready for the New Year with all the e displays and bright reds, and yes this month has flown by for me as well not sure where it went
