Anything but Pad Thai [ PHOTO CONTEST! ] - Chocolate & Banana Waffle 香蕉共和國

This post is my entry of a photo contest held by @waybeyondpadthai, thanks for her nominating. You can check out the rules of the contest here.

@waybeyondpadthai came to Taiwan and we have a warm meetup last month. Although we only know each other for a short time, I especially cherish the friendship from Steemit.

Back to the food, the dessert is named 「Banana Republic」. Yes! The name is the same as a clothing brand, but I am sure there is no relationship between them.

I order this cuisine at the「Perfume Dance」restaurant in Mega City, Banqiao. Probably because it contains several desserts, so it's named "Republic"!

Taiwan's bananas are sweet and delicious. The fresh bananas are also a bit sour with a fruity fragrance. It's perfectly matched with chocolate syrup.

Waffle is a popular light food in Taiwan. It satisfies the girls' sweet stomach, and also make them full. It's perfect with coffee or tea for afternoon tea.

The taste of waffle is absolutely related to the degree of heating.

If the heating time is shorter, the waffle will be softer and taste slightly similar to pancakes. There will be a bit of batter flavor which I don't like very much but acceptable.

If the heating time is too long, the taste will be relatively hard and hurt my upper jaw. I don't like it.

My favorite is that the internal softness is moderate, the outer layer is somewhat crispy, and the different syrups or different fruits can be used to change a variety of flavors.

The waffle here is well controlled on heating time. If you like the waffle,「Perfume Dance」 will be a good choice to try.

PS. One of the rules of the contest is that you have to take a photo with the food, so here it is.

Finally, I have to nominate one person to attend the contest. Well, it's kind of embarrassed because the contest is about to end.

Anyway, I will nominate a new friend @siamcat who I know recently. Although the time is short, @siamcat, I believe you can make it.

@waybeyondpadthai上個月來台灣旅遊時，我們是第一次碰面。雖然認識的時間很短，但是我特別珍惜來自Steemit上的友誼。

話題回到食物上，這道甜點叫「香蕉共和國」，是的！這個名字跟一個服飾品牌的名字一樣，不過我確定他們之間毫無關係。這是我在板橋大遠百的「跳舞香水」吃到的一道輕食。取這個名字，大概是因為一份餐點裡面包含好幾樣甜點，所以取名共和國吧！

台灣的香蕉又香又好吃，新鮮的香蕉還帶著一點果酸味，搭配巧克力醬簡直是絕配！

waffle在台灣是很受歡迎的輕食，不僅可以滿足女孩的甜點胃，還能有一些飽足感，下午茶配咖啡或茶都很美味。

waffle的口感如何，跟加熱的程度有絕對的關係。

加熱時間較短，Waffle會比較柔軟，口感稍微比較類似pancakes，不過會有一點麵糊味，我沒有很喜歡，但是還可接受。

加熱時間過長，口感會比較硬，硬過頭的Waffle，咬起來上顎會痛，吃起來很痛苦呀！

我自己喜歡的口感，則是內部軟度適中，外層有些酥脆，淋上不同的糖漿或搭配不同的水果，就可以變化出各式各樣的口味。

這裏的Waffle在火侯上控制得宜，喜歡吃Waffle的朋友可以去試試。

ps. 比賽規則規定必須拍一張與食物合影的照片，所以附上下面這張。

最後，還得點名一人參加比賽，比賽快要截止了，這時候點名好像有點尷尬啊！就點我最近交到的新朋友，同樣也是來自泰國的@siamcat吧！
