Discussion about the Wagerr Project.
Recently I have been trading crypto currencies. Mainly on Poloniex and GDAX. So from visiting websites, reading and learning, I got targeted by some ads on FB.
I hope you understand how Facebook and overall re-targeting marketing works... If not let me know in the comments I can explain and may be do a post about it.
Anyhow, I saw an add on Facebook about this now ICO Project that is about to take the Gambling industry by storm. Something we are all familiar with, banned in most states and highly attractive in all states. So I spent some time reading about the Wagerr.
It is a very interesting concept. Ina nutshell, if you bought some coins during the ICO you are in from the start. I did buy 6000 by the way, just because I love the Idea.
The platform will be designed to handle crypto currency betting on all kinds of sports events. NFL, MLS, MLB, NHL, soccer and more. Basically, if you purchased enough coins (25K if I am not mistaken) you will becoem an Oracle. Oracles will post all kinds of events for people to bet on. Oracles will make a small portion of all bets as commission, which sounds fantastic if you have the time and can meet the requirements to be one.
So as person that loves sports, trading and betting here and there, this project sounds very innovative and tempting. You open your Wagerr wallet, choose an event and place your bets with your Wagerr coins... Simple as that.
The ICO is now closed, so let's hope the developers are ready to deliver on this unique idea.

There is a lot of competition for sport betting market. I also like Peerplay.
Thanks for letting me know, haven't heard of Peerplay either. Looks like their project line is longer than Wagerr. Considering betting is malty billion dollar industry I am sure a lot of companies will target it. Let the best one win :) Did you invest in Peerplay?
Peerplay is more of a BaaS (Blockchain as a Service) where others can use their service which is what the Bookie app intends to do. This means it is not decentralised and can be banned in countries where gambling is illegal. Wagerr on the other hand has no platform, site or app, meaning it cannot be taken down. It is truly decentralised. There really is no competition to Wagerr
So is this something similar to a platform like Skincoin aimed at sports related betting? Just curious, sent a follow as well
Haven't heard of Skincoin before. Just glimpsed at their home page looks more like eSports betting. Love Dota2 by the way. Wagerr looks similar but for Sports. Also the events are posted by actual people not pre generated. And on top of that fees are supper low because the Oracles make some commission and that is it. The project is very ambitions, check it out at Wagerr.com

I haven't myself just saw a small snippet of info about it the other day. May look to try when possible to get into Wagerr though sounds promising.
yeah, the ICO just closed. Not sure when they will have more for sale. But time frame is looking good, should be operational later this year.
