PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds (PUBG)
PUBG is an award-winning online multiplayer video game. It is a battle royale game published and developed by PUBG Corporation. The game was released as a beta for Microsoft Windows via Steam in March 2017 and was fully released on Dec 20, 2017. The game was released for Xbox One on Dec 12, 2017, and on Mar 19, 2018, an Android and iOS version was also released.
Pubg is the fifth best selling video game with over fifty million copies sold on all platforms until June 2018. The game became so popular that it holds a maximum simultaneous player count of more than three million on Steam, which is a record for all windows based games on the platform.
Pubg is a battle royale game that can be played from both first-person or third-person perspective. It can be played solo or as a four-member team. Every match starts as players parachute from a plane onto a map area. Once the players land, they can search buildings and other sites to collect weapons, armors, gears and other loots. Loots can also be collected from dead players. Every few minutes, the playzone or 'the circle' starts to shrink towards a random location. All players caught outside the circle take damage and is eventually eliminated if he/she does not enter the safe zone in time. The last man or the team to stay alive is the winner, and is declared 'Winner Winner Chicken Dinner'.

Pubg has received quite a handful of awards. In 2017, it received the "35th Golden Joystick Awards" in the category 'Best Multiplayer Game' and 'PC Game of the Year'. In the same year, it also received "The Game Awards 2017" in the category 'Best Multiplayer Game'.
In 2018, the game won the "D.I.C.E. Awards 2017" award in the category 'Action Game of the Year' and 'Outstanding Achievement in Online Gameplay'. It has also won "2018 SXSW Gaming Awards" award for 'eSports Game of the Year', 'Excellence in Multiplayer' and Trending Game of the Year.
