A Cinematic Walk by the Bay // Testing Out My New Gimbal!
Hi Friends!
I recently got a gimbal to help me make create smooth and cinematic footage. It was such a beautiful day, that I decided to head down to one of my favorite spots on earth - Boulevard Park.
The park is right on the water and is a really central hub for our community. There is a trail through the woods that takes you right from downtown to the waterfront and you can always see people biking, walking, running, cycling, playing frisbee, hanging a hammock, dancing, playing music or just catching up with friends. There is a beautiful boardwalk that allows you walk right on the water and there is even a local coffee shop inside the park!
I've had a lot of fun playing around with my gimbal in the sun today and then learning how to edit this footage! It's funny how it can literally take all day to make a 5 minute video! I guess they say time flies when you are having fun... or maybe just when you are a newb and trying to figure things out!
I really hope you guys enjoy this video and enjoy getting a small glimpse into my world! I come down to this park all the time to hang out with friends, enjoy the sunset, or go for a walk.
I live in such a beautiful area of the world, and I look forward to working on my skills to bring you even more cinematic footage of my lovely home in the future.

I got a Zhiyun yesterday but unfortuantely doesn't connect properly with my galaxy 9+ :(

Yeah, I hear you there, as it is nerve racking to have hundreds of dollars flying above you that will be worth $0 in one wrong move! I have thought about one as well, but I already have so many “toys” I don’t use enough 😬 I am sure it would be worth it for you two tho as you have a great area to film in and are producing a lot of great video content already!
Thanks! Yeah, it is so beautiful here... there would be endless spots to shoot. I could really up my production quality too by creating more cinematic intro’s/outro’s. 😊

It was fun learning how to use the gimbal! It was a little intimidating at first, but it got a lot easier as the afternoon went on.

Cool to know, I have considered getting one as my selfie stick video footage can be a bit shaky, but the extra weight in my already heavy camera bag is something I really don't need... Cheers!
I'm looking for buy one too since now I'm outside a lot and still don't know which one to buy. Your one is very good and probably depends on how you use it too I'm sucks with camera but I'm learning slowly only for making Dtube videos :) You make it beautifully around the bay. xoxo
I'm so glad you enjoyed the video @anne-c!! Gimbals are a lot of fun to play around with. I personally got the Zhiyun and I like it. The DJI models are more expensive, but look better. I thought I would get the lower priced one to start to see how much I actually use it and like it.
So far, i'm pretty impressed with it for the price!

Thank you!! Living in a beautiful area sure helps. :) It definitely took a while to get the hang of using it... but is pretty easy once I got it all figured out!

Kubb (pronounced [kɵb] in Swedish or [kub] in Gutnish) is a lawn game where the objective is to knock over wooden blocks (kubbs) by throwing wooden batons (kastpinnar) at them. Kubb can be described as a combination of bowling and horseshoes.
Quite common in Germany too
Wow! Such beautiful scenery with the beautiful water just beside the park. With the breeze blowing as you are in the park is really a relaxing feel. I have just hit into my school holidays even though still have meeting as well as stuff to do during holidays but at least I should take time to slow down my pace and perhap take a walk like what you did. Winding down is a good maintenance to our human system! Thanks for the video!
