VETSCONNECT

in #vetsconnect7 years ago (edited)

This is the first post i am writing with vetsconnect as the main tag. in not writing much because I'm pretty sure no one will see it since the category doesn't exist yet and I am just trying to get it on the board. I want this to be a category where veterans can come to so they can connect with other vets and get support and guidance from each other and help each other deal with their issues in a healthy way and maybe earn a little coin too. vetsconnect everyone. tell a veteran. semper fi and semper steem

OORAH!

That is motivation richq11. You are the first person to reply to the first post I tagged in vetsconnect as the lead tag. I am trying to grow this category from nothing and all support is crucial and never taken for granted. Please spread the word. Let the brothers and sisters know. Semper Fi and Semper Steem.

We'll give it a resteem and see what happens. I was a GM2 in the Navy- Brownwater from Nam. I was behind the twin Ma-Deuces on the front of a PBR. My friend @stevescoins was a Devil Dog check him out!

That's good stuff rich. My dad was a coastie on a PBR up around the DMZ in Vietnam working with Marines in I corps. I have all the respect and love in the world for the Vietnam Vets out there . And I know you guys understand more than anyone what I'm trying to do . i will check out @stevescoins. silver nd crypto are my other passions. i have a facebook account but never use it. i dont like the censorship in politics they stand for. I might bring advertising for vets connect to Facebook at some point but I want it to be a steemit baby all the way. God bless you rich. keep on steaming on.

Fakebook doesn't like my politics either. I write the truth disguised as fiction... People don't want to read straight political truths (except a few of us) but I dress it up and put in stories and they eat it up. I'm doing a horror/political thriller right now (The Night Gods II)

If you should go to FB look up Bill Looman- he's Marines... an ex-Colonel I believe. Great guy and a real patriot. I started out in the Navy (small arms specialist) I carried an M-14 outfitted with a 10x40 B&L.

If you're on Facebook... there are several people there, many Marines. I don't know about here.

I was a Fast Attack Submariner and I will soon be writing some blogs about my experiences during the cold war.

that is so badass deaconlee. i cant wait to read about your experiences. thank you for taking the time to read my posts and support what im trying to do. i will follow you, please remember to tag vetsconnect when you write those experiences
God bless and keep on steemin on

resteemed and followed

Semper Fi!

Thank you so much for the support at Steve's coins. I am above honored to be supported by a curmudgeonly old General. (i read your description and followed) I was a corporal at one point before I got busted down to a private. You will be able to read all about that story at vetsconnect.

This is such a beautiful thing!!! I know Steemit can help so many vets by giving them an opportunity to write about their day to day struggles with PTSD. I love that you posted this today .. I was not aware of vetsconnect and I am super excited to see this .. I am going to spread the word .. WE LOVE OUR VETS!!!! God Bless :) SUNSHINE247

Thank you so much Sunshine 247. Your support and kind words mean the world to me. vets connect is an idea I just got the other day . Ive been pushing it real hard since that time. People like yourself taking the time to read my post and then compliment and support is very reassuring to me. Again I can't thank you enough for your support of vetsconnect

@stay-in-the-gray, upvoting and resteeming this for you. I will try to check in on your profile at least every few days, and do that for your new articles to help promote #vetsconnect. I'm not sure if there are other ways to help push #vetsconnect up, so let me know if you know of any other ways. Maybe just writing more articles using the tag #vetsconnect is the best thing to do.

Stevescoins just got me into Steemit. I've known him since we were kids and went into the Corps around the same time. No finer human to get drunk with and regal each other with our own and differing hatred of leftists and morons. I upvoted and resteemed this, for all the good it will do as I got few followers.

You have one more follower tkarclary. It is the least I can do for your support. With all sincerity, I appreciate you taking the time to read my posts and comment. Upvotes and resteems are always appreciated no matter how many followers you have. To me, it is the idea that you believe in what I'm doing enough to spread it out to every follower you have. That is worth more than anything. I also despise the far left, but I don't drink so I let it be known ALL the time. I try my best to keep politics out of my posts for vetsconnect because I don't want a brother suffering in silence to feel that they aren't welcome in the vetsconnect community because they don't think the same political way as I do. If someone put their life on the line for this country and endured the physical mental and emotional traumas that combat has to offer, they are welcome no matter what side of the aisle theyre on. we just wont discuss politics. You seem like my kind of people tkarclary, I'm proud to have you onboard
Semper Fi, Semper Steem Keep on Steemin on.

This is so very important, because it seems they just get lost. Really may need help maybe not monitary but just support. Thank you for this idea.
