Index of Violence in Venezuela remains. 5 Cities of the Country in the ranking of the most Violent Cities in the world.

Violence and crime continues to take over the daily life of the Venezuelans. The year 2017 registered a very violent year with a death toll of 26,616 dead, a decrease of almost 3% over the previous year due to the wave of protests, although the country remains second on the list of the most dangerous nations in the world.

According to the report carried out together with researchers from the main universities of Venezuela, during the year 2017 there were 89 violent deaths per 100,000 inhabitants in the country.

Of the 26,616 violent deaths, 16,046 died in homicides recorded by the courts, another 5,335 died at the hands of the police and the rest of the security forces, and 5,035 died violently without opening records before the courts.

During 2017, 106 people died each week in the hands of police or military officials. This gives in a simple calculation that the Police in Venezuela, through its operations discharges, 15 people every day.

The state of Aragua has been affected in 2018 by the rise in violence, January ended with the highest number of deaths recorded, adding 178 people, February 104 and March 165, however, the highest percentage of homicides was recorded in February added 70% of the cases, followed by January with 61% and March 54%, the rest of the percentages were of people killed in the middle of police operations.

Eight of every 100 thousand inhabitants have been murdered during this first quarter of 2018. This accounting was carried out from January 1st until March 18th. In Miranda, there was a reduction of murders of 40 percent compared to 2017, which represents a total of 263 fewer deaths.

This is only the first quarter of the year Venezuela in 2018. Caracas leaves the number one position in the world ranking that now occupies Los Cabos to move to number two, with a total of 3,387 homicides, a rate of 111.19 per 100 thousand inhabitants. Within this ranking in addition to Caracas, there are also 4 other cities that appear in the list as violent.

This is something that does not generate any pride in any Venezuelan, who lives with a lot of worry every time he has to go out, without knowing what will happen.

Meanwhile, the Government of Nicolas Maduro does not take any action on this issue, this issue is not on the President's agenda, which at least weekly has 3 press conferences with National coverage.
