Late night wrenchfest|Easter car show rush.
There's something about gearheads. Some sort of comradery that pulls us all together to finish a project(or two) by a deadline. Every Easter weekend in Saskatoon is the Draggins Rod and Custom car show. This last week has been non stop for me, sorry steemit I just couldn't get on here at all. For a week I've been working through lunch breaks and then heading back to the shop after hours until 12 or 1 in the morning.
There is so much time involved in fitting this '70 mustang together. I have a couple of months into this car.

How can anyone work these hours? Energy drinks of course! These are my favorite two.

That 300 inline 6 looks like a beast. Is that an Offy or Clifford intake? I have a 62 F100 I was looking at setting up similar one day. Awesome rides!
Clifford intake, cam and headers. Chev valve train, block is zero decked and the head has been milled to pop compression almost to 11-1!
Hopefully I can finish wiring and plumbing it next week.
That thing is probably a torque monster! Would love to see a video when it gets fired up.

There's some pearl and metal flake in that orange. The paint dances in daylight.

It might as well be new for all that is done to it. There are even chev parts inside it! Should be about 325 horsepower.

That Mustang certainly looks the business, I don't envy all the fiddly work and wiring but it will sure be satisfying when it's all finished. Energy drinks? Just keep topping up the coffee pot!

Yep, 3 kids and late nights keep me hopped up on coffee and energy drinks( not too many of the later actually).
That truck motor looks real good and with the twin carbs and extractors should go great. Looking foward to the next photos of the cars and from the Easter show.
