We continue eating vegan!

Yes, we do! As the Vegan festival in Thailand is still happening so we go with the flow :)

㋡ Vegan food from the night market

Just 10 mins walk from where I live, there's this night market that sells food, like, a lot of food! They are all reasonable priced and at the moment, half of the market turns yellow as it's Jeh festival here. One of the shops that I had acually never bought food from.. today I just did! Why? They sell such a good looking vegan food.

Pad Fak Thong (ผัดฟักทอง)

• Pad means Stir fry
• Fak Thong means pumpkin

Stir fry pumpkin with shiitake. This place did such a great job! How sweet their pumpkin is and how the texture is not too soft. I normally don't see people put shiitake with this dish elsewhere but they do. The shiitake makes it even more special and yum!

Nam tok moo (น้ำตกหมู)

• Nam tok is the way of making food 'spicy salad' with some certain ingredients like roasted rice cilantro
• Moo means pork

This dish is usually have with sticky rice and this set! Sour, salty, spicy and a little bit of sweetness. This one they use tofu instead of meat. The texture is not like pork or beef but it's so good and so likable.

㋡ Vegan Suki Yaki 🍲

Do you have much of this type of food in your countries?? 'Suki Yaki' !

Sukiyaki is a Japanese dish that is prepared and served in the nabemono style. It consists of meat which is slowly cooked or simmered at the table, alongside vegetables and other ingredients, in a shallow iron pot in a mixture of soy sauce, sugar, and mirin. Wikipedia

Well, we did like a home cooked meal easily and have it like an easy/speedy dinner so not much of the traditional way of cooking. We just dumped them all in! LOLOL Then sat on the floor (some of us) eating together! :D

What's in the pot?

Typical suki yaki (in Thailand, at least), we got sooooo much veggies and also vermilcelli. Other than that is just all kinds of meat you could imagine. Though! It's now during the vegan fest so we put all imitation meat in instead.

There's a shrimp also! See! You see!!

All the vegan imitation meat in Thailand is just so hard to beat! Meat balls, sausage, shrimp, and oh! squid is sure my favourite! Its texture is just so real!
