Vegan Anarchy: The wonderful gift of free willsteemCreated with Sketch.

"That's just the way things are, you'll never change things for the better. Government always has, and always will, exist".

Many people, it seems, deny the existence of free will. They believe that, because something has been a tradition for a long period of time, it will always be a tradition and people will never change their ways.

Not only is this historically inaccurate, as many traditions have changed, or been completely abolished (the African-American slave trade, for example) over the years, but it also denies our spiritual nature as human beings.

Free will is our gift from the Creator, and we are tasked with using it in conjunction with our conscience to create a more harmonious and peaceful world. A world in which all human beings are respected as sovereign and free to express their free will with respect to the cosmic moral laws of the universe.

War, mass murder, genocide and other such injustices have left a permanent stain on humanity's conscience, but we have the power to change the conditions on this planet through exercising our free will for the greater good of humanity.

Nothing is set in stone. For we are the co-creators of our reality. The conditions we live in today didn't just manifest at random, and we are not destined to continue killing each other en masse and raping the planet of precious resources. We manifested these conditions through our collective free will choices as a species and we can choose, at any point, to create a better world. All it takes is a shift in consciousness, a shift in awareness and understanding of who we really are and our unlimited potential as a species.

Once we come to the spiritual realisation that we are sovereign beings and the masters of our own destiny, we will see government, and all other forms of external rulership, for what it is: A restriction of free will and human potential. Ultimately, the only legitimate form of government is self-government and no man or woman has the right to deny your free will or claim ownership of you; to do so is to a f-ck you to the Creator.

We were created -- all of us -- with supreme rulership of our thoughts, emotions and actions but with no authority to rule others or impede on anyone else's free will. Politicians and tyrants use force, coercion and violence to achieve their aims but the human spirit can never broken and our free will never denied. For as long as there is a "tireless, irate minority keen on setting brushfires of freedom in the hearts and minds of men", freedom will prevail.

"We've always slaughtered animals for food, you'll never change it!"

Carnists, like statists, also deny human free will and assert that tradition dictates morality. While it is true that we have butchered animals for many years, the consciousness of humanity is rising and growing numbers of people are ditching animal products in favour of plant-based alternatives.

There is no moral justification for our mass slaughter of animals in this day and age and we can, through exercising conscience and free will, choose to end this cruelty and horror. Animals, like us, are sovereign beings and the very least we could do is respect this and allow them to live in freedom. If politicians have no right to rule us, what right do we have to rule and dominate animals?

Let's put two and two together: our free will choice to enslave and slaughter non-humans, to the tune of hundreds of billions per year, is what perpetuates our own slavery. Do we really think we have the capacity to create a free and just world, to end the coercive, master-slave relationship between government and the people, while still imposing slavery upon billions of animals? Like fish who have no idea they are immersed in water, we are largely oblivious to the cruelty and violence we are complicit in through our daily dietary and lifestyle habits. We are swimming in an ocean of blood. But we can't see it.

But that's all they are: habits and traditions. And we can break the tradition of industrialized farming and form a new tradition of love and respect towards all sentient beings. A tradition rooted in compassion for all creatures and guided by the simple and eternal wisdom of the Golden Rule.

Right now, animals live in a nightmarish reality but we have the power to liberate these beings through simple changes to our lifestyle. Each one of us has the free will capacity to break our old habits by planting new seeds in our spiritual soil. It may take many years for these seeds to germinate (on a collective level) and for the old, outdated habits to be replaced by the new ones. But make no mistake about it, it is only a matter of time until we trigger a cosmic shift in consciousness and drastically change the conditions on this planet for the better - for both humans and animals.

Let us exercise this wonderful gift of free will to change the course of our destiny and create a world of abundance and freedom for all creatures. It is our duty, as human beings of conscience, to break the outdated and immoral traditions of the past (government & industrialised animal farming) and pave the way for a new world and brighter future.

Freedom is the highest truth.

Great post my friend! You are so right, we all need to wake up to the influence of our choices. Change is hard and it hurts to realize what we are doing to the planet and to the animals.
As a vegan I think of this every day and try to softly wake people up around me.
For many it's all about comfort and eating for the sake of your taste buds and not for the sake of your body.
What many people don't realize is that when you start eating clean your taste buds will develop and change. You will start enjoying clean food so much more and really taste the pure flavors.
I'm so happy to see posts like this, it truly inspires me to write more and I just added a topic to my "to write about list" thanks to it :)
Thank you for a good read <3

Thanks for commenting @nicoleslife, I agree!

Agree. Eliminate sugar and salt from your diet, and the junk food starts to taste disgusting and the healthy food starts to taste much better. I still eat meat, but I've shifted my diet way far toward nuts and fruits and raw vegetables, with great health results for my age (63)!

Wow that's amazing and I'm so happy to hear that you are changing your habbits and getting good results :). It's never too late to change your diet and go towards a healthier Lifestyle.

At my age, the payoff to eating smart when young is obvious, dramatic, and tragic. And I PLEAD with any smokers reading this to do WHATEVER IT TAKES to stop NOW. The advertisers and your current peers won't be there for you when you are 60 and wheezing; they'll be busy counting the money that they made off of your slow, agonizing death.

It's a good thing that you are here and can inspire the young ones to eat healthier :).
I totally agree on the smoking. We shoul do all we can to stay healthy and take care of our bodies since as you said. Food compaines, advertisers and so on will not be there for you when you get sick.
And a lot of deciese can be prevented if you keep a good diet, exercise and practise a healthy mindset :)

This is an example of a general and sobering observation: Human society is just as hostile, just as filled with predators, as it ever has been (and always will be). It is critically important for each young person to form properly as a good, strong man or a good, strong woman who takes life seriously and does not waste time working to find a secure place for himself or herself in the world.

Part of this is to be vigilant. Let anyone speak any viewpoint on any topic. But when stupidity is spoken, respond to it persuasively. You will quickly discover whether the opposing speaker is sincere, or is just attempting to manipulate and to spread propaganda that he or she knows is false.

You are so right sir and I could not agree with you more.
We need to be uncomfortable and we need to we willing to evolve constantly.
I'm all in for being a vigilante ;D. It can be scary to call people out when they are wrong but they will eighter appriciate it or get angry. In any case you have nothing to lose and in the best scenario you will have changed someones mind to the better :)

It just so happens that I just finished editing an audio recording of a confrontation in which a drunk homeless man made threats against a Starbucks employee last night. It's a good illustration of what each and every one of us need to have the courage to do. Evil runs freely largely because those who consider themselves to be good really are just cowards. Really being alive, really caring, really being unselfish requires courage and selflessness.

Just like nearly everything else we are told, the mainstream story of human history and evolution is a lie. You won't hear about it on TV, but research by anthropologists like Dr. Alan Walker have shown that early human ancestors were almost exclusively fruit eaters. We didn't start eating the flesh of other living beings until relatively recently in human evolutionary history, so recently that our anatomical structures that identify us as frugivores has not changed.

The Paleolithic diet concept of a diet centered around meat is an anthropological lie. Our ancestors didn't live off the flesh of other sentient beings. Humans are anatomically and biologically designed to thrive on fruit, nuts and seeds, like our Primate relatives still do today.

One of the most massive and muscular animals on earth, the Gorilla, eats a diet consisting of fruit, nuts, seeds and plants. But where do they get their protein???

I agree @thepatrick, we are tropical creatures.

what an awesome post @mckeever! It is so true, we are all masters of our destiny. Most people just prefer to stick their heads in the sand, because the truth is uncomfortable. You should present this post in the whaleshares curation show on Thursday evening. It will not only give you more votes, but iit's a great occasion to discuss this topic on a live show, and from experience usually it makes for a great friendly discussion. Nothing better to planting a seed in people's minds =) Well done!
