Why I Think the Hunt Platfom is a Special SMT (My Reviewhunt Review Part 2)

On my last blog post about the Hunt platform, I wrote mainly about steemhunt and what I loved about the platform. I also gave some insights about the Hunt platform economy and it's three branches; steemhunt, reviewhunt and ideahunt.

On today's blog post, I will be doing a personal review on the announcement about the launch of the Reviewhunt and what it is expected to achieve. Also in this post, I would explain why it is important to gather as much hunt tokens as you can now from the running airdrops. I would also give some tips on how to gather hunt tokens.

The launch of the Reviewhunt branch on the Hunt platform has been named amongst one of the top five mission of the Hunt economy in 2019. Since the introduction of the Hunt stake in calculation of the userscore on steemhunt, the launch of the Reviewhunt will be the next big step in giving the hunt token a usecase value. The Announcement contained four key activities/ features on the Reviewhunt platform.

Product makers/companies will run a review campaign targeting hunters with HUNT bounty tokens. They are required to purchase the HUNT token either via our payment solution or exchange market.

This feature would be a push for companies and makers to get involved in the Hunt token economy. It will give the hunt tokens a very direct usecase, which will serve as payment to hunters to help advertise their brands and products to certain targets. Bounty campaigns are popular on the Ethereum blockchain, where you perform certain tasks for a particular token team to be rewarded with their tokens. This is quite different, here you perform tasks for companies/makers which will pay you only in hunt tokens and not their own tokens.

On this feature, one may wonder what would attract makers to use the hunt platform?

The Hunt platform already has a large number of product influencers active on steemhunt with over 40k products hunted already. It has also become a place people go to to search for new and innovative products with over 60k MAU (Monthly Active Users). This is quite enough reason for makers to be attracted to use the platform for bounty campaigns.

In each review campaign, hunters can share their review content of the product from all kinds of platforms such as Youtube, Blogs, or Social channels (based on the company’s request). The company will distribute the bounty tokens based on the quality of the review content

This feature shows that the campaign does not necessarily need to be on the hunt platform. This is a means to getting a greater audience for the campaigns. This is similar to most bounty campaigns on the Ethereum network. According to the Companies request, hunters will run the campaigns on their different social media with certain review targets which will be decided by the company.
This will create a bridge between makers and product influencers and would serve as a means to push their new products into the market through targeted adverts by the product influencers which will in turn be rewarded by the companies in Hunt tokens.

We will provide a fiat-based payment solution for the companies, so that they can easily purchase the token to run campaigns.

This is one way of giving the hunt tokens fiat value. Listing on an exchange between March and February is also among their top five 2019 plans which I will talk more about later in the post. Since the launch date of the Reviewhunt platform is February 2019, there is a probability that the exchange listing might not have occurred yet, so this would be an easy way for companies to buy hunt tokens to run bounty campaigns on Reviewhunt.

Reviewhunt will have a commerce feature (in the regular version) in which hunters can buy the products with a discounted price with HUNT tokens (this may require review activities).

The Beta version of the Reviewhunt is what is to be launched this February, once everything goes well, the regular version will be released (no date yet). On this version, hunters would be able to use their hunt tokens to purchase products from companies that will run campaigns on Reviewhunt. This is another usecase to the hunt tokens and this would allow hunters to become early users/adopters of new and innovative products.

This is the part I would love the most about the Reviewhunt platform. Accepting cryptocurrencies as means of payment for goods and services is yet to be widely adopted, thus limiting the usecase of most utility tokens.

Why would Companies Accept Hunt tokens as payment?

Using the bounty campaigns, the Hunt platform dev team have made hunt tokens the means of rewarding product influencers for reviews, and those hunt tokens are being bought with fiat or on an exchange, thus, they have made the companies active users of the Hunt token. Therefore accepting it as payment won't be a problem as it would still be used in running bounty campaigns.

Why You Need to Become a Hunt Token Whale Now

With all the the updates and a listing plan going on, it would be meaningful to gather as much Hunt tokens for free through the ongoing airdrops. About two weeks ago, a survey was carried out through google form on what people think should be the listing price of hunt tokens. Those who participated were rewarded with 100 hunt tokens each. Following the results of the survey, an average price of 0.0489 was desired for the Initial Exchange Offering. For me that's a good starting price and with the prospects of the Hunt Token Economy, there is hope for a moon.

How to Get Hunt Tokens

A couple of hunt token airdrops are ongoing on the steemhunt platform;

• Airdrop From Voting Contribution
  You receive hunt tokens daily for your voting contributions on steemhunt. Your amount of votes and Steempower are deciding factors in the amount of hunt tokens you get here.

• Airdrops From Social Share
  To aid in the publicity of the platform, this airdrop was created whereby you share your favorite hunt posts to your social media account which will contain your ref. The amount of clicks on your ref link in relation to the total amount of clicks on social shared posts for that day determines the amount of hunt tokens you get.

• Airdrops for Promotion Contributors
  Here you make a promotional post about steemhunt on any content based social media like Medium and Reddit and get rewarded with Hunt tokens. For me this is the best way to gather as much hunt tokens.

• Shuffle Button Airdrop
  This is to promote the shuffling of posts on the steemhunt so you get to see posts randomly. You get random amounts of hunt tokens from here. You can gain hunt tokens from the shuffle button by clicking it once in 6 hours. This is another easy way to grow your hunt tokens.

• Airdrop for sponsors
  Steemians who delegate sp to the @steemhunt account get rewarded with hunt tokens every week. The amount of hunt tokens you get is dependent on the amount of Sp you delegated.

If you are yet to be on the train of early hunt token holders, it is not yet too late for you to gather as much. Following the listing, the Hunt tokens will be released as ERC 20 tokens, then after the SMTs successful launch, there will be a swap.

Anticipating

Like I stated in my last blog post, the Ideahunt is the branch of the Hunt token economy which I look unto the most. I am looking forward to announcements on the release date of the Alpha version of the Ideahunt as it is part of the top 5 priorities of the Hunt Platform this 2019.
