Updates & Improvements
1. Server side authentication
Before, we didn't really have a proper authentication as we only saved cache data on our servers. As we're adding more features on Steemhunt like moderations, now we had to implement a proper authentication between the client (via Steemconnect) and the server.
We're sending the raw token to our server once on the first login, and re-validate it on server-side. Transactions are encrypted end-to-end via https, and related logs are properly filtered.

2. Voting bot votes on verified posts only
As we have more and more users, some users tried to upload spam posts just before midnight (just before the voting bot start voting on all the posts on that day) to abuse our voting bot.
We have introduced moderation process, so now the voting bot only votes on verified posts.

3. Review comment voting weight changed
People tends to post more hunts than reviewing other people's hunts because the voting weight was much higher on hunt posts.
We have separated the review comment reward pool from the hunt post reward pool, so reviewers can get higher votings and hunters get more engagements on their postings.

4. Community based moderation
With a huge success with our recent HUNT token announcement, we now have over 100 posts on daily bases on Steemhunt.
As we have only 2 team members in our team atm, we couldn't catch up with reviewing all the posts properly. So we have quickly added a community based moderation feature, so selected moderators from our community can review the post together.
We have selected 6 moderators who has actively participated in our community:
@teamhumble, @folken, @urbangladiator, @chronocrypto, @dayleeo, @fknmayhem
Steemhunt moderators will receive 10% of total votings on their moderation comments by our voting bot and corresponding HUNT token reserves (maybe from few days later once we add the token distribution feature on our voting bot).
We'll pick more moderators as the community grows, so please join us on our Discord channel and show your love 😉

I like the idea with the moderators, but don't you think there is a conflicting interest when the moderators are also posting their own stuff and reviewing the posts from other users? From my perspective a moderator should have a neutral position in that case, what do you think?
I think this is a fair question to ask.
Utopian-io mods and community managers are allowed to contribute, and as is the case here, many of those were selected for the role due to their interest in the project.
Obviously they cannot review their own submissions, and as long as the management occasionally review the reviews, you would hope everything is kept above board.
It's in the best interest of the newly selected mods to do it right, seeing as they are mostly contributing too.
Good stuff @steemhunt for recognising these early issues and quickly coming up with a solution 👍🏾

Will you take the current posts contribution into account when you are ready to track them? Because I can see all my posts that I submitted in my Steemhunt profile and therefore I was contributing after your anouncement.
OK this is nice concept.
Yes it is. It is also one of the best looking designs of posting something to steemit too. When I first seen this I wasn't too sure about it. But when I read about it more & tried it out. It really showed what can be done on the Steem Blockchain.
