Sukhoi SuperJet 100 further development for FlightGear

in #utopian-io8 years ago (edited)

FlightGear (http://www.flightgear.org) is an open source flight simulator that is even used in flight schools to train basic maneuvers, radio communication and navigation tasks. It is available for windows, mac and linux.

In this article I want to introduce my ongoing development of the Sukhoi SuperJet 100 of the last week.

Bug Fixes

The FDM was further adjusted to the real values in nearly all values: wheels, wings, horizontal stabilizer, flaps, slats, speedbrakes, weights and flight characteristics for approach and cruise. In many hours of test flights they are adjusted, and controlled by the solver results:

From this values: YASim solution results:

  • Iterations: 4226
  • Drag Coefficient: 9.3852
  • Lift Ratio: 215.519
  • Cruise AoA: 2.12486
  • Tail Incidence: -3.65922
  • Approach Elevator: -0.746988
  • CG: 12.958, 0.000, 0.150

To this values it is changed now: YASim solution results

  • Iterations: 1425
  • Drag Coefficient: 13.6869
  • Lift Ratio: 90.6488
  • Cruise AoA: -3.25881
  • Tail Incidence: 1.84511
  • Approach Elevator: -0.347858
  • CG: 12.456, 0.000, -0.386

New Features

  • Sound for reverser and engines now more realistic.
  • Slats in the model, FDM and animations added.
  • Runway effect for touch down and emergency braking added, see the pictures above.
  • Autopilot: more functions are now implemented and working fine, they had to be adjusted to the new FDM settings.

Roadmap

The panel has to be modified so that it looks more original. Research at http://superjet100.info/wiki:cabin shows the result. This will be done by adding the existing A320 panel with modifications.

Attention passengers, this is your captain speaking. We will be arriving at our final destination shortly, so please place you tray tables and seat backs in the upright position. I am turning the seatbelt sign on and your cabin crew will be coming by to pick up any last minute items. I would like to give a special shout out to one of the designers of this aircraft, @schamangerbert If you could all join me in giving him a round of applause. He is seated in our first class cabin. His design changes have made sure we all had a safe and enjoyable flight. Congratulations on your design success.

I have a question, when I look at the MTOW data of the SSJ100/95B, I see two values. One being 45.880kg and the other being 41.000kg. Can you explain why there are two different MTOW values?

One is the max start up weight and the other is the max landing weight.

thanks for the reply..

GREAT JOB SIR. PROGRAMMING IS MOST IMPORTANT TO US.YOUR INFORMATION IS REALLY HELPFUL.THANKS FOR YOUR POST SIR. RESTEEMED.

Yes sir you are right.comunication is the first medium. So your post is vary importance. Thanks for sharing nice post @schamangerbert
