How to create an account on Steemdunk and get your free upvotes
This is a tutorial about a new open source project called Steemdunk.
I saw this project on one of Utopian's post and so I tried and tested it and see if it works. What made me want to sign up for them is because they offer free random votes for your posts every 2 days.
Since this is just fairly a new project, expect that there might be some bugs but so far, I haven't found one. Good job Steemdunk.
So let's get started.
Step 1:
Go to the Steemdunk website which is https://steemdunk.xyz and click sign up.
Step 2:
Fill up the credentials. As you can see, it will ask you to create a new password which is good because you don't need to put your Steemit password, posting or active key.
Step 3:
Once your account has been created, it will take you to a page like this. It shows some information from your Steemit account like your voting power.
Step 4:
The most important thing here is to check the button in circle and click on update. Doing this will give the Steemdunk the ability to vote randomly on your posts.
Step 5:
The next step is verifying your account and putting your account name to make sure Steemdunk will vote on your posts. Click on the profile link at the top.
Step 6:
You will be directed to a page where you can edit your password and more importantly register an account where the votes would go. So put your Steemit username and take note of the memo. There's also instructions at the bottom on how to register.
Step 7:
Go to your wallet page and send .001 SBD to Steemdunk including the memo. Any amount more than .001 will be considered donation as what they say.
Step 8:
Go back to your Steemdunk account and on profile, scroll to the bottom click on authorized and you will be directed to a page to put your username and private posting key.
Step 9:
If successful, you will see a message saying that your account has been successfully authorized. Congratulations!
Here's a screenshot of when Steemdunk voted on one of my post. Currently, their 100% vote is around $0.32, not bad for a free vote.
Thank you for reading my tutorial. I hope Steemdunk will grow more in the future and help fellow Steemians like me.

I'm a noob, what is an open source project? I keep on hearing about it here.
Glad to help my friend, open source projects are almost anything you see online and on mobile, websites, apps, softwares you name it. The difference is that their codes are open to the public which means anyone can contribute to make the project better as long as they know programming or coding, one best example of an open source project is Steemit itself.
I see. Thanks for the time in explaining this!
No problem :-)
