French community stats (#fr) - [December 2017]

This is the monthly analysis of the french community development. The French Community started to grow in Mai 2017 and we are now tracking all the datas to see and monitor its evolution.

Process: Data are coming from SteemSQL, but are filtered (only #fr tag) and transformed locally then queried using SQL Queries details in this Gist.

Have you already written down all you best resolutions for 2018 ? We did ! To do it we collected data from all we did in 2017... I will spare you details on go right on to the Steem statistics.

On the global scale, no real surprise, the trend goes on, the french community is growing. I would like to thank each of the french dedicated authors.

Authors & posts

This month has seen its share of new users, lots of new posts on differents kind of topics.
Last month, 2226 (+11,2%) posts were published by 416 (+18,5%) différent authors.

On the whole year scale it gives performances that have nothing to envy the rise of Bitcoin in 2017... Alright, alright we had some catching up to do: (8 authors (+5200%) / 19 posts (+117,15%) ).
The graph shows clearly that May 2017 was the starting point of this rise that has yet to stop !

New french steemians are joining on a regularly: around 20 new faces every week. You should go and check out they blogs, all the #introduceyourself posts can be found easily : -1- -2- -3- ... but finish this one first ;-)

On average posts are 338.5 words long, a slight increase compared to last month. This is not a really powerful stats but it gives an idea on the mean reading time.

Beware: Markdown/HTML syntaxt might slightly inflate this stats, take this as an approximate information.

Comments & votes

Comment and votes tend to be strongly correlated and last month saw a huge increase in votes (+50%). This month votes are back to an expected amount (2.2%), which is closer to the comment. The number of comment has increased by 17.5% showing a constant increase in the community involvment.

Rewards

Starting last month we now add the rewards evolution on the #fr tag in the statistics.

The increase of value of the STEEM token clearly increases the amount of rewards received by the authors.
However, is seems that the increase factor is higher than the value increase which means the french posts are receiving more rewards than before, without taking into account the high price of STEEM (and Steem Dollars token as well).

The impatient readers can go directly to the end of this post to see of the rewards are splits between the top authors.

As I always say... it is not the quantity of posts that counts, it is their quality !

Top 20 #fr authors

Speaking of quality, here are the authors who have been rewarded the most in december. Last month we tried to extract the whole list but it was already very messy. To improve readability we now only show the TOP 20.

This ranking is ordered by rewards received but you can also find other interesting data such as the amont of published posts and averages for rewards, votes and comments by article.
